Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid 4, even though I just played the demo, it's still one of the best game I've played so far this year.

I forgot about ATV Offroad Fury. I loved those games.
Not forgetting Final Fantasy. lol Most of these franchises were more popular on Sony's consoles so thats why they assume its a Sony IP.

If it was published by SCEA/E then, it belongs to Sony. Otherwise, it's not a Sony Franchise(I think that's how it works).
No, even if it is published by Sony, I don't think that it automatically makes it a Sony franchise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Computer_Entertainment#Owne... That is a list of Sony owned franchises, I'm pretty sure they have published more than just games in those series.
