First tourney was a success, so let's go larger! We're gonna have bigger tourneys, longer to prepare and battle, and a shiny new Battle Ladder! Here's how it works:

• Each month, we'll open up a tourney to join. You'll have 1 month to build your team for the tourney.
• The month after, battling begins! The tourney structure will depend on the number of people battling.
• In the same month, we'll open up the next tourney for joining, and so on.

The Battle Ladder is separate from the tourneys. Have a battle with anyone on NL and post the results, and you'll earn points on the ladder. To sweeten the deal for tourney participants, joining tourneys will earn bonus points! Winning or being a runner up? MORE POINTS. Everyone who took part in the Little Cup Tourney will get points for that, so you've got a bit of a head start. Points are as follows:

• 5 points for a battle victory (not including battles that are part of tourneys)
• 5 points for joining a tourney (note: you must actually participate in a battle)
• Extra 5 points for being a runner up in a tourney (2nd or 3rd place)
• Extra 10 points for winning a tourney!
  Aim to be be NintendoLife's greatest!

The Ground Rules
The following rules apply to all tourneys unless otherwise stated:
Species, Sleep, Item and Evasion Clauses are in effect. Moody is banned. Drizzle + Swift Swim is banned. Pokémon in the Uber tier are banned. FEAR strategy (and its derivatives) is banned. Battle is played with Flat Rules, and Wonder Launcher should be switched off.

JANUARY 2013 TOURNAMENT - 4 VS 4 NEVER USED DOUBLES (NU)

Due to lacking interest, the January tourney will not go ahead. Thanks to everyone who participated in the last two tourneys!

This is the tourney for all you 2012 apocalypse survivors out there! It's time to make do with what was left over from the nuclear fireballs, the remnants of Pokécivilisation and... alright, this is just a really convoluted way of saying that we're having a Doubles NU tourney. Bring out the novelties! Fetch your Vanniluxe, Sudowoodo, Delibird and Stantler. Bring out the Golduck, Kangaskhan and Magcargo! Chances are, you have an old favourite or two lying helplessly in NU. Time to give them some glory! Or... another embarrassing defeat.

Yeah I'll most likely join, half of my bug team is already done. (from Black, lol) Though I'm unsure whether or not to re-raise Volcarona or not. I'm wanting to toss in some more past gen bugs. xD
