So why are they still doing their rotation thing? Especially with people having to pay for this thing in the future.

@Spoony_Tech Nah, she will. Ice cream was on the same side of the screen as Marina during the reveal.

Got married.

@-Green- yeah I'm not too much of a fan of it, but at least they lowered it to every two hours instead of four.

Can't wait to try out the app though

Going with Cake, for sure.

Splatoon 2 has a LOT more available at launch than the original, which is a relief.

Who knows if Pearl and Marina will turn out to be secret agents like Callie and Marie were, but either way the Sunken Scrolls will likely detail their backstory, which promises to be interesting. How exactly do an Inkling and Octoling meet, let alone strike up a long friendship like they have?

Don't expect either of them being secretly evil though. Reluctant double agents at worst. Can't really do anything with them that'd preclude them from their announcing duties.

@Haru17 If you've seen ARMs, the brella weapon reminds me more of... the umbrella arms. Or for a shooter comparison, a riot shield. It doesn't seem particularly great for attacking, but an unbreakable shield makes for powerful defense, and launching it will likely make for the ultimate corridor denial. If I had to compare it to a Monster Hunter weapon, it'd be the Lance.

The new specials shown seem even more like spiritual successors than the previous ones. Ink Armor only protects from one hit unlike the Bubbler's invincibility (which makes them best suited to counter chargers or other high-powered weapons), and the Baller is basically Kraken that also is mainly good for one use. If it doesn't suffer knockback like the Kraken, it could be a strong tool in forcing a temporary retreat.

Wait a second... Salmon run is only available to play at certain times???? What kind of weird, nonsensical decision is that crap?

@Dev Can you really blame her, though? She's the only Octoling in an Inkling metropolis. That'd make anybody nervous and/or uncomfortable, even if the populace as a whole holds no hostile feelings towards her.

This game just wouldn't work with split-screen with the way the map works, it'd either obstruct the other player's view unnecessarily or be too hard to read. Not to mention the whole screen-peeking inherent with local shooters competitively.

@Operative2-0 Not only that but it's available at any time for local multiplayer and LAN. Online multiplayer is only certain times of the day.

@Spoony_Tech modes are limited to specific times, guessing the same for maps. The main reason why the first game became very boring after a week.

@Joeynator3000 Well if you didn't like the first game then yeah, I can't see you liking this one. Did you ever even try Rainmaker or Tower Control? I never minded the rotation as it gets me playing modes I otherwise might not even try. I ended up liking all modes, some more then others but still had fun.

In past shooters I would stick to one mode and never even try the others because I liked the one mode. I'm glad they force you to do whatever is going on atm. As for stages is the same thing. Sure I have favorites but even on the maps I don't like as much the game forces you to learn strategies on all maps. Now if the game only made me change my weapons more often as I stick to one usually throughout.

If you're basing the purchase of a sequel off of one additional mode, you probably didn't enjoy the main one all that much to begin with.

Games don't get better when boycotted. They get shut down (A fate that could very easily have befallen the original in it's early days). And if you think you can still be satisfied with the original, wait 'till the japanese desert it and leave the servers barren.

A wait-and see approach does make sense at this point. Salmon Run's online rotation can just as easily be a minor, major or even a non-issue. We still need more info to judge it for sure. Either way, if you want it to improve in any way, support the game and make your misgivings known.

Only got to play them once....because they always showed up at times when I was playing or if I was gone for the day or something. After that point I stopped playing the game completely...

Can't believe we're going to be paying Nintendo for the luxury of having them decide when I can and can't play a Co op mode with my friends online. Wonderful.

I just don't understand their rational behind limiting things so much this time. It was one of the major complaints of Splatoon yet they kept that out of all things. I believe all they've done for the rotation was drop it from 4 hour rotations to 2 hours. Like what.
