@IceClimbers That's really cool! But when will it happen? During E3 or some other convention?

@Eric258 I believe it will be updating every week so more information about this should be revealed in the following weeks. Maybe we will get a trailer at E3, room for about 6-7 weekly updates so I think the timing could be good.
I just hope we see some new weapons and hopefully a new mode sometime soon as well.
How they're handling all of this is really interesting. Now i'm curious to see if Splatfests can have "main story" impact in Splatoon 2 also, since it really seems they did in the original Splatoon. July 21st can't come soon enough guys!
I've just been looking back at the final Splatfest results, and they seem identical in each region; 54% popularity and 51% win rate for Marie. Is this entirely coincidence, or was it one of the only Splatfests to have a worldwide scoring system? I remember most other ones had their scores divided by region, even if they were hosting the same 'A vs B'.
@Maxz yeah, the merged splatfest were spongebob with NA and Europe, Fancy/Black tie vs Costume/fancy dress (English is weird ) was worldwide and the Callie vs. Marie had worldwide results, but Japanese players were separate from NA and Europe.
Pokémon had the same or a similar theme (Green rather than Blue in Japan), but I believe all results were separate. (Red still got destroyed in all regions...)

Some news has come through regarding Spyke's successor in Splatoon 2. The good news is that the new clothing customisation system seems to give the player slightly more choice than the endless rerolls of the last game. Slightly. Clothes are now 'reset' via 'gear cleaning' and the previous abilities are converted into 'ability fragments', which can then be piled up and eventually reapplied to gear as the player wishes.
Yeah I just heard about it in a video and I have to say, it sounds like a good solution! Finally not being so contrained by the RNG and having more freedom regarding your subslots would be realy great. Looking forward to it.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
Maps rotate every two hours instead of every four hours, according to Nogami in EDGE.
“We feel that part of the gameplay is actually selecting which weapons would be best for that combination of two maps. In Splatoon 2, the maps rotate every two hours, so it’ll be a much faster cycle than the previous game.”
@Joeynator3000 No online multiplayer game ever REALLY lets you pick what stage you want. You can only "influence" it at most, whether it's straight voting like Call of Duty or "increased chance" voting like Mario Kart and Brawl. You wanna customize matches, you gotta do it yourself with friends or bots. Otherwise it discourages experimentation, especially when rank is on the line, or on the flip side might aggravate players who were set up to play on certain stages when a different, random one is chosen (which is what most games offer when a player doesn't like any other given choice.) CoD gets around this with multiple loadouts equipped on the fly, but you don't have such a luxury in Splatoon.
Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

I'm fine with the map rotation. Just don't boot everybody out of the lobby to tell us what the new maps are. Also, allow us to change our loadout without backing fully out.
I was always usually fine with the stage rotations in the first one. My guess as to why it was in the first one was because they probably didn't know if the game would've sold as well as it did, and to keep the online alive, they just made it rotate every 4 hours. If the game didn't do so swell, the online probably would've just been inklings playing one map and mode, leaving the other maps with hardly any inklings in those maps/modes, thus, leaving a lot of the online to just one section. In black ops 2 for the Wii U's online down the road from it's release, some modes I couldn't even play anymore due to nobody being in those modes, so that's why Nintendo made it rotation I thinks, but thankfully Splatoon sold NOICEly, and the series will rev up big time in our lives!
.....Also as to why it's still in Splatoon 2? Because 2 hours, 2 Squid Sisters, Splatoon 2, perhaps that number means something in the story mode, and also inb4bathroomhumor.
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
1. Don't make us watch the news every 2/4 hours
2. Allow us to change gear in the lobby
3. Allow us to join friends in all modes
4. If a comm error pops up, don't punish us for it.
