Topic: New Ace Attorney Game for Switch

What type of changes, and new features would you like for a Nintendo Switch Ace Attorney?

I'm disappointed. I saw the title, and was expecting this topic to be an actual announcement :c

5 cases per game was a good number.

I have played through the original Phoenix Wright Trilogy, Apollo Justice, and the first Miles Edgeworth game. Anything noteworthy after those?

I would want the investigation sections to be in full 3D, with you guiding Phoenix or Apollo around the area instead of you just clicking on a static screen.

And I would want all the relevant conversation to be fully voiced (except for a character's thoughts). The voices would be the minimum required to get through the case. If you don't hear the voice then you know that its not relevant to the progress of the case.

I'd like the game to be called Ace Attorney Anthology. There would be five cases, and a first in the series - you would play as a different defence attorney for each case. And each prosecutor you face in court is different each time too; a prosecutor that character has never faced in court before. The story would be set over the entire Ace Attorney storyline and characters who have died will now return at an earlier point before they died.

So off the top of my head, the five attorneys would be Phoenix Wright, Mia Fey, Apollo Justice, Athena Cykes and Diego Armando.

Literally every game in the series is noteworthy tbh.

Including the Layton X Wright crossover. Especially the crossover.

I've played the first two. Loved the first, but felt the second one really lost steam. I've since gathered it's generally considered the weakest in the series, so I've picked up the third one now on iOS. Really, the key is the puzzles. The reasoning needs to be logical but challenging, without being obtuse. In terms of storyline, Id be happy with a new start. New console, new main character, new story arc. Phoenix, Maya, Miles etc can appear as side characters.

woo, thread title is misleading. It would be cool if they port DGS 2 to switch...just so I don't have to keep digging out the 3ds systems to play the games.

Definitely this. The franchise has been struggling to focus on a small set of characters for a while now. Spirit of Justice managed to lift some of that weight by finishing Apollo's arc (for the time being, at least), so things might get better in the future.

Still, when you take a look at all the assistants, detectives, rival prosecutors and recurring witnesses, it's easy to see there's an overabundance of supporting characters. Trim the cast a little bit. Also, add more throwaway characters so veterans can't pinpoint who the killer is immediately after seeing every character from a given case.

Actually, that's the opposite. Mainly because unless they do a sequel to it, nothing that happened will ever be referenced again.

Still a good game that has to be played. That's what I was referring to.
