Topic: Will you get an NX or a PS4/Xbox One?

Will you get an NX even if early signs near its release show that people/publishers probably won't back it?

If most people just want a Sony or Microsoft console regardless.

I own a Wii U and am very happy with it. Not sure why I wouldn't buy a NX, maybe just not a launch. depends on how much spending money I have lol

I love my Wii U. Its one of the best consoles I've ever owned but am wondering if I may soon get fed up of backing the less popular consoles.

I owned and liked the Philips CDi and even had a video module.

Why does backing a "less popular" console matter? Shouldn't the software be the thing that matters? What software do you enjoy?

I like arcade style, retro and driving games.

I guess it's starting to bother me that one one else I know ever owns the same console as me.

I have no idea what an NX is so how can I say?

I always get the Nintendo console. The other console is secondary.

I can't back something I don't know. I would by a Sony or Microsoft system if they have the games regardless.

Doesn't that mean you and your friends have a wider variety of games to play? If you all had the same systems then you would all be playing the same games and you wouldn't get to experience as many games. I had a friend back when Wii/PS3/Xbox 360 just released that only bought a PS3 because everyone else he knew had a Wii or Xbox 360, just so we could all have the variety.

We don't even know what the NX is so I think its too early to say anything.

Nintendo+PC from now on for me. I've bounced between all companies/systems and they all have good exclusives (Uncharted, Halo, etc.) but Nintendo ALWAYS hits home with at least a handful of unbeatable exclusive games, is great for parties/renunions, and still can't be beaten with clones IMO (I'm sorry but Sonic, Sly, Ratchet, Darksiders, and 99% of indie-retro games STILL aren't as good as the Nintendo games they're inspired by).

And PC is the perfect backup. Sure, you miss out on some great XBOX/PS exlcusives but it's MORE than worth it IMO. Even if Nintendo goes down a dark path or OS-focused gaming, PC will still save me the horror of console politics.

-I'd rather deal with a handful of "PC Master Race" losers than PS4 politics, trolls, and fanboys (any day).
-Indie scene will always be the best.
-Free online...FREE. I'm sorry, I know it's cheap on consoles, but it's still a slimely nickeln'dime tactic.
-Amazing sales
-Tons of controller options
-Most of the third-party games that don't get ported to Wii U with a better price point than PS4 and better graphical options
-The list goes on.

It is to early to say. I wish non nintendo fans people would also that open minded. I kind of knew at the Wii U release that it wasn't going to do will. It was like people had judged it on specs alone.

Also the media seemed to be slamming the Wii u for no good reason. That and just praising the PS4/Xbox One regardless.

Good points maybe I should get a decent graphics card and back up my Nintendo console with a gaming pc.

NX + PS4 (and maybe a new desktop PC), when I get the chance and the money.

The apparent backing or lack of is unlikely to feature highly in my list of factors to consider. Call me deranged but price, features and software are the principle concerns for me.

We don't even know what the NX does. So long as it is a traditional console I'll buy it. but I'll get the PC twins eventually.

I'll eventually get a PS4 for the exclusiives Japanese games. I don't know what the NX is or what games it will get so I've no idea if I'll want one.

I'll get the NX once it has a good number of games I'm definitely gonna play. I don't want a repeat of the 3DS, Wii U, and PS4 yet again, where they sit around for over a year before I finally start using them, while they continuously go on sale and produce better versions.

I'm not a peasant. I can afford an NX, and I already have Xbox One and PS4. Not that I would recommend it. The Xbox One has some good exclusives, but the PS4 has a boatload of absolutely nothing.

I don't see myself buying a Xbox, PS4, or NX. But like others have said, I know nothing of the dang thing (or what my future will be like in a few years anyway).
