Honestly, though, I suspect other announcements, mainly the new loyalty program or maybe even a new Direct (in which they will announce the 3rd DLC pack of Mario Kart 8 )
It could be anywhere between now and the 23rd though. The 28th brings the second quarter earnings release so I'd assume if Nintendo has a Direct on schedule they'll bring it out before that.

Well, it's not that, I guess, but I still get the sense that it's not as big as most of the predictions he's getting. I hope it's a Direct, though, or a similar presentation, even if nothing big gets announced. It would be comforting just to see a scripted presentation again.

October 14, right in the middle of October. Before Yoshi's Woolly World and Fatal Frame; Nintendo has been talking about Yoshi for the past three years, so they are definitely not going to waste the opportunity to talk about that game for the last and the billionth time.
If this turns out to be another Mario Kart 8 DLC pack... then it needs to be very cheap or free for those who already bought the previous DLC. I love MK8's DLC but I can't imagine myself throwing more money at the game. Maybe its a better Battle Mode.
If this turns out to be Smash related... I would be slightly disappointed. I want a new hype train for something NOT Smash. A Nintendo Direct that showcased a new Wii U game for 2016 and a new 3DS game for 2016 would be perfect.
Mostly likely... its Smash related and Roger is liking what he's hearing.

Most Likely it will be the New Club Nintendo replacement since Mr. Iwata did say a few months back, it was coming fall this year. Also With All Club Nintendo of all regions are shut down with the recent closing of Europe Club Nintendo, it seems very likely! Of course it can also mean we will find out which character or Characters got the most votes in the Ballot since they found out there are three slots for new fighters in the recent data check. Oh also can't forget about the First Mobile Game Nintendo is releasing this year.
it's probably a smash character or the new club nintendo. I have a feeling we won't have a direct again till january to go over all the 2016 wii u and 3ds games.
Aside from Pokemon Z, Nintendo probably doesn't have any wii u or 3ds games left to announce. everything else is probably NX-bound.

Nah, I'm just dreaming, (Although... Isn't David Wise supposed to be currently composing for a Nintendo game?) and that would have to be a 10 on the hype scale... but I want it, I REALLY want it!
