Well, the title says it all: The Gamefreak are thinking of making some changes in the game of pocket monsters.

"Japanese publication Nintendo Dream has received a Christmas greetings card from the developers behind Pokemon, GameFreak. The greeting card doesn’t really contain any exciting information, except that the development team says it’s looking to evolve the Pokemon franchise during 2013."

Well they're going to make the next game on the 3DS, so I'm guessing that maybe their big franchise change is a shift to 3D?
Still doesn't change the fact that the formula is tired and the more pokemon they add the worse the franchises problems become.

improve the animations of the battle would be enough...

Actually I think Gen 3 was the worst simply because not all Pokemon were there from the start (had to buy Coloseum, XD, LG/FR at a later date)

Yeah, what exactly is the problem with having to buy other games when one of the main focuses is trading around between games? Granted, needing a console game to get certain ones when the main games are handheld exclusives is frustrating to those who don't like spin offs but FrLg solved that problem anyways.

That wasn't really a welcome change but it's still kind of a sad reason to hate the whole region/gen.

Gen 3 was pretty much necessary, the whole IV system of the first two gens was getting somewhat dated.

i saw this on serebii and thought it most likely means the next main games will be in 3d. I do hope for a more teenish pokemon game though and that your character can talk.

Every little thing Nintendo and they're affiliates like Game Freak or Namco or Platinum or Retro say or do create huge conspiracies. XD

to me it just feels like a comment to stir up some talk and get the company's attention since lots of ppl bring up new ideas and comments so they can maybe think of were there game could lead up to

anyway what i think is that there just moving to 3D is all maybe changing the perspective oh how you look at the city or characters?idk cuz them adding new pokemon isnt rly evolving

Make it an action RPG...at least for a home console game or something.
