So I don't know if it is like this everywhere or just in America, but when I bought the Wii going on three years ago, Wii Sports just came in a cheap cardboard sleeve. It is probably the least played game in all of my Wii games, but I have noticed that the cardboard box scratches the game when I take it out and put it back in. I can't have that, so I am gonna try and find a blank white DVD case to put it in. So I am just wondering what you guys have done. Do you still keep it in the cardboard sleeve or in a DVD case?

I got it in a game case.

Cardboard sleeves? I got a normal game box with both Wii Sports and Crossbow Training. NoA is cheap!

As far as I'm aware, North American Wii consoles came with Wii Sports in a cardboard sleeve from the start, unlike European Wii consoles, with which it came in a proper case. However, since our bundle was upgraded to include Wii Sports Resort, both games apparently come in cardboard sleeves which, if true, is very unfortunate. =/

I got mine a year after launch and it came in a cardboard sleeve. I found someone's home-made DVD insert and have had many empty DVD keepcases, so a white one was to hand.

Since getting the North American Wii and importing Wii games from the States I've noticed the NA Wii game cases are noticably lower-quality than ones in Japan and Europe. they feel like they're made from thinner plastic and they have crappy centre spindles. I've replaced those with the keepcases leftover from the wasteful packaging for Nintendo Points cards which came in full white DVD cases for some bizarre reason!

Not true, I got mine in a cardboard sleeve and I live in Sweden, my mom did as well. But then again we've had ours for maybe 3 years now. Our controllers also have the old weaker wristband.

My Wii from day one contained Wii Sports in a proper plastic box, but my black Wii came with it in a cardboard sleeve. My guess is they switched over to save money and time.

how do you come across a white box? i'd love to put Wii Sports and LCT in boxes instead of sleeves. also, could i get a 2-disc gamecube box anywhere? i bought Baten Kaitos used a while back, and it came (both disks) in a single disc PS2 box... pointers, anyone?

They come in cardboard sleeves now.

Ask at your local game shop - they often use them for spares. Be nice and see what they say.

We should be thanking them rather, points cards in plastic DVD cases is just wasteful.

I also had empty white boxes from DVDs which I consolidated into multi-DVD boxes where it was many in a show that originally shipped in multiple cases; otherwise yeah from the lame days when NoE lamely shipped points cards in lame DVD cases. Lame.

I got my Wii early 2008. I live in Finland. My Wii Sports was in cardboard sleeve. I guess this cardboard sleeve and proper "DVD-box" thing was the same everywhere.

A while ago i bought through eBay two empty white cases that someone had printed up actual glossy covers (like a standard retail release) for Wii Sports and Link's CT that duplicates the cardboard sleeves. Actually pretty well done, and only cost me like $5 for both. You may be able to find something similar.
