But say, which amount of Memory? 120 GB or 250 GB?

That's pretty much a non-issue. ::headscratch:: Do you want the kid-size ice cream sunday or the large?

..........Forget you buddy.

The PS3 is your best bet at the moment. It has a few good games for your age group such as Little Big Planet, Modnation Racers, etc. Also, i recommend the 120 GB. Really, who is going to use over 120 gb's of save data, movies, and games? But boy, Christmas is pretty far from now. Maybe you should wait for December where all the Holiday releases are announced.

Given the age issue, I think your decision is solid. PS3 is a great system but relies on M-rated games to fill out it's library. Since you can't play many of the best PS3 games, why not get the 3DS now and be one of the first people around to show it off? Also, I haven't heard anyone disappointed or negative reports about the system after E3... so it seems like a solid purchase.

If you change your mind, get the biggest hard drive you can. Sony is pushing a lot of downloadable content in the short-term future... plus you have demos, movies, patches, and mandatory game installs (up to 2 GB) before playing disc-based games. I used to think that 120 would be enough, but have recently changed my mind about that. You could always replace your hard drive later if necessary, but why worry about the extra effort and expense when you can just get it right the first time?

While I do not think you should buy into hype (though I am pumped for the 3DS) I think an XL would be a poor decision. Yes, it may be cheaper, and yes, it plays DS and DSiware games (and the DSi only games..theres about...2?) but it is not "future proof". The 3DS has all the features of the old system, plus everything the system itself can do. If you had an XL, in a few years the DS and even DSi games will run dry. Heck, it could be one year even. The 3DS may cost more, but I think it is a safer investment. As for the PS3, I have a 120gb slim, and I love it. It can do a great many things, and there are some very good games on it. The PS3's biggest flaw is that it's not portable (obviously) and I always want to take my movies and such on the go. If you have a psp, I say go for it, and make sure to system link to share content, but if you are without a psp, go for the 3DS.

I'll agree with everyone and say do not buy a DSiXL. What I would do is ask for the PS3 for Christmas and start saving money for the 3DS if you really want both. After all, the 3DS may not come out for up to nine months (March). If you only need one, go for the PS3.
