@Kid_A I hate shouty metal too. It's usually nu-metal, black or death metal as I said before. Thankfully that's not the only kind of metal (although it's the most prevalent nowadays). Heavy metal is great:

I enjoy Rock, Punk, Punk-rock, Rock-punk, and any alternative including the words 'rock' and 'punk'.

I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.

I'm not going to list names or anything, but I listen to a very broad range of music including hip-hop, folk, world music (traditional "roots" music from wherever on the Planet Earth), rock (50s-80s with minimal post 80s), punk, electronic (including audio collage/tape music, to more experimental stuff like John Cage, Stockhausen, etc.), electronica/techno (mostly ambient), classical, blues, jazz.

I just finished listening to my Sonic Youth catalogue (Sister through The Eternal; minus the experimental stuff on Deutsche Grammaphone) and fancy listening to a collection of favourite tracks from The Cult, but prior to that I was listening to B.B. King and John Lee Hooker. Steely Dan and my massive funk/soul collection seem to never leave my iPod...

Well I like just about everything but 90% of rap and some country. But most of what I hate are from artists that started after 2000. Anyone who started before then is almost definitely on m list. I do like Dragon Force though, great rock. I mainly listen to Michael Jackson (Keep your comments to yourself), Ozzy Osbourne (Even if he can barely speak now a days, hes still better then most of the new artists today), The Beatles, Scatman John, Guns 'n' Roses, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Aerosmith, and Dragon Force. Yeah I like mostly popular stuff.

Heavy metal, Speed metal, Hard rock, Punk rock, 50's - 80's (all), Classic, Ragtime, Reggae, Calypso, Latin Pop and Folk/World Music. Especially Celtic folklore music.

In my opinion, 80's has got the best hip-hop/pop/beat music ever. Better than modern music, again in my opinion. Favourite 80's bands include UB40 and Cameo, but that's not all of them.

Favourite Rock Bands: Rammstein (found some of their music on a CD just yesterday...), Sum 41, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Metallica, Good Charlotte and Guns 'n' Roses. I don't like every single track these bands have, but they're good enough for me.

I've actually become pretty into Lady Gaga too. I like songs like "Poker Face," "Paparrazzi," and "Just Dance," but I really started liking her music when she released "The Fame Monster" Album and had songs like "Bad Romance," "Speechless," and "Dance in the Dark."

But, more generally, I like a lot of music. Not really into classical or jazz or things like that. Most of my music that I listen to is current, due to me being 14. I've really been liking Lady Antebellum lately. I got the song "Need You Now" and also got their song "American Honey," which was really good too. But like I said, I listen to a lot of music. Even country and rap. (Not a lot of either, but some of each)
