People who have already voted should not get there vote counted for a tie-breaker. If one person should get to vote twice than why shouldn't everyone get to vote twice. If people who already voted break a tie than its meaningless, cheap and hasn't actually furthered the competition at all and can make the true loser of the tie win because more people who haven't voted might vote for a game but double dippers voted twice and were counted.
It was against Galaxy. All of the other tie-breakers have been done when two completely different games have gone up against each other.
But it should make absolutely no difference which game it's against.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of my four favourite games of all time and I would happily having win the whole tournament, whereas the first one is a bit lower down on my list.
They're two separate games, and just because they happen to be two games in the same series doesn't make it different from any other tie.
