Topic: Reggie needs to step down

You can't fire the Regginator, he's too awesome to be kicked out. Beside most of the localization problems come from NoJ. NoE and NoA MAY have Presidents for Nintendo in those areas, however they're just figure heads, Satoru Iwata and other guys over at Nintendo of Japan have complete control of what goes on, when it gets released, where it gets released and how it gets released etc.

All Reggie can do is do what they say.

Yea but it's not like reggie is the only person who makes decisions. I mean besides NOJ I am sure NOA has groups of people making decisions of what to bring over and when. I am positive it's just not Reggie sitting in a room making decisions they have teams of people making decisions. Plus nintendo of europe gets way less than us or they get games way late. We may miss a few titles but not many.

I don't think that's true, actually. From what I understand about Nintendo America, it's a proper subsidiary of Nintendo Japan. This means that it has sales targets to meet, but it's ultimately responsible for the business decisions that happen in the US.

Nintendo is a smart enough company to realise that the Japanese body corporate has little to no real understanding of the US market, and the whole reason body corporates set up local subsidiaries is to better understand and serve that market.

Yeah, another ignorant fool. Reggie does not make all decisions regarding game releases. I don't run a company myself, but I think it would be a bad idea to leave it all to one person.

Also, about the Mother argument, think about this: Japan does not have any of the Mother games on VC!! It makes no sense to me to whine about this if the motherland (pardon the pun) lacks it as well.

I don't know who's at fault, so I can't hold Reggie responsible. But someone(s) at Nintendo needs a wake up call.

If you're going to call for someone to step down, you ought to at least provide a real reason for it.

Otherwise you just sound like a crybaby. I would have hoped the banality of my response got that point I was making over. Evidently it didn't. I apologise and shall be sure to reply to four sentence rants with 3000-4000 word essays deconstructing their points and relating them to the theories of Adam Smith in the future.
