How many of you quit games before finishing them? I am playing Final Fantasy III on the DS and have gotten almost to the end have have been killed several times. It is frustrating to get so close to the end only to be killed. You have to go through a fair amount just to get close. I feel like I am wasting too much time. I am ready to eject the catridge and stomp it into oblivion.
I feel you man. I'm at the exact spot you are. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the boss, and if you die, you lose all that work. I even used an action replay to supposedly give me one hit kills, but that didn't work. I guess you can just try taking a break from it for a while, and come back to it later. It may help not playing it for a couple weeks or so.
RPGs are a genre I never quit until I've finished the game. I won't even move on to another one until I'm finished with the one I'm playing. Most games I finish, but sometimes on a bullet hell shooter I'll quit for awhile just out of frustration. But it takes a lot to get me frustrated.
But when you take 30 minutes to get to a certain point only to die and then have to repeat everything...how could you NOT get frustrated? And Corbie...I do want to finish this game as I put alot into it but I so want to start on Chromo Trigger. I was having the same attitude as you by not wanting to start a new RPG until I finished the one I am working on.
Well if you're ready to move on, move on. I'm a bit obsessive about it sometimes. But it can take me months to finish an RPG with work and the site and everything else. So I just take my time and make my way through it.

Don't worry Chrono Trigger is much easier than Final Fantasy III, and a better game all together in my opinion.
I never give up on games really unless I actually get bored of it.

I've proudly given up on Final Fantasies VI through X. Usually manage to hit the 10-12 hour mark before the random battles finally make me chew my own face off in frustration. (About 50 hours into FFXII, though, thanks to no randoms.)
Yeah, I quit games all the time. I usually quit not out of frustration, but out of a desire to have a game never end. I was better about finishing games before, but now I just play right up until the end and then leave it.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I quit playing games all the time, and for various reasons. Usually, I'm just distracted with something else. Sometimes, a game is just too damn hard and pisses me off, so I stop, like with Ikaruga (can't get past level 3) and Pulseman (the underwater crap in level 6 is IMPOSSIBLE!). I had quit Do Re Mi Fantasy due to lack of translation, but I may resume soon now that my brother's been playing the fan translation on his laptop and telling me what the story is.
Now that I have a Backloggery, I'm getting better about finishing games, even ones without Trophies (I've tended to be much better at finishing stuff with Trophies 'cause I want my Platinum). I still haven't finished logging my collection on there, though. I'd really need to borrow my brother's laptop to log my download games easily (otherwise, the computer's two floors down from my consoles and using the PS3 browser to log games connected to the same TV is a royal pain).
Speaking of whom, he SHOULD be getting an account around here soon (don't think he's gotten around to it quite yet), so welcome Lombax42 when you see him, okay?
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
I never feel bad about quitting a game or even watching a film (though it's rare a film offends me or bores me that much), but abandoning a book after I get past the first few chapters is something I don't do.
I don't play Bit.Trip: Beat as much as I used to, but I'm not giving up on it. And I'll get back other games like Okami and No More Heroes one of these days... no, really, I will!
