I was recently at my grandparents second property that they inherited and we use it as a storage house for the family. While there I found my Uncle's Old Cassettes which he had a good deal of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. I listened to several and I was convinced that Ozzy was awesome. Now don't get me wrong I was familiar with Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley, but not much beyond that. After Listening to Bark at the Moon and Diary of a Madman and listening to some other music of his on Youtube (Which is what I'm doing right now ) he really is the Godfather of Metal (If not the King) My personal favorites are Dreamer, I Don't Want To Stop, Your No Different, Mama I'm Coming Home, and Mr. Crowley. Now whether of not he is insane, I don't think he is, he just likes to act the part and has been drunk a little too much (Yeah more like all the time) but its like MJ, he likes to be different. I want to hear some of your opinions on the man and see some comments.

Taking nothing away from Ozzy, what really made Bark at the moon and anything after Crazy babies were Jake E Lee and Zack Wylde. I recommend anything by Badlands for Jake E Lee. Zacks' playing in Pride and Glory and Black Label Society are both worth checking out.

Diary of a Madman and Goodbye to Romance are really good songs. Black Sabbath was never the same without Ozzy either, I think I prefer Black Sabbath over Ozzy's solo stuff. Paranoid, War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Fairies Wear Boots, some real good stuff.
EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Iron Man

I love Sabbath, but not so much his solo career. The only song from his solo catalogue I like is Bark At The Moon and sorta Crazy Train but I think that one's too over rated, just my opnion.

I didn't listen too many Black Sabbath albums, some were missing, any other opinions?

The difference between Ozzy and I, is that I coexist with chiropteras.

I am not the biggest fan of Ozzy's music. Don't get me wrong though ! He has some good songs. But I mainly like the guy because well he is actually a pretty funny guy. Interviews he cracks me up, when he hosted Monday Night Raw he cracked me up. I used to watch his show on MTV once in a while and that cracked me up. I could care less how the guy lived because its not really my business, but he is way more successful than I ever will be.

Ozzy Rocks!!! I was watching his "Live at the Budokan" dvd just last night. Once at a festival, he was performing as a surprise when it got even better. After a few Ozzy songs he brought out Black Sabbath and finished the set with them. I've seen them a few times now and they kick a$$ each time.

In an attempt to bring this thread back from the dead I figured I might as well post some more of my opinions seeing as I now own 85% of his CD's. After listening to Ozzy for a summer straight I have to admit that I'm an even larger fan of his music then what I was before I've learned a lot of my favorite songs of his are those that never really got any recognition such as Zombie Stomp, Killer Of Giants, Jump The Moon, Nightmare, and so on. If Ozzy is on vocals I can listen to it,I think though as much credit as I'm giving to Ozzy as a solo artist, that just as much (if not more) credit goes to Black Sabbath for the fact that they practically invented Metal as a genre and have been covered countless times at this point by bands proving that Sabbath was one of their larger influences. Sabbath wrote a ton of great tunes with Ozzy and both Ozzy as a solo artist and Sabbath as a band really deserve their place in the world of rock and metal.

I recently bought his latest Albumn called Scream and it's Awesome! The man still rocks as hard as ever even in his 60's.
I tend to like his more mellow songs. Stuff like Mama I'm coming home and Dreamer. I've always liked Shot in the Dark. It's one of my favorites. As well as see you on the other side. Plus His Albumn covers are always bad. They don't just slap some boring picture on them. They really make them cool. I never believed he worshipped Satan like some people say. It's all just for show. I'm sure he's a really nice guy in real life.

I always think it's sad when the reality show and his current self is the first thing people think of when his name is mentioned. But such is the passage of time.

I've never been even slightly interested in metal until recently, and Black Sabbath is pretty great. I don't like his solo career though. His cover of Working Class Hero is okay. The original is better.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Ozzy and Ozzy with Black Sabbath are one of my favorite bands. To me there is no Black Sabbath without Ozzy.

It is sad though seeing him now he it just seems that the Parkinson's Disease hit him hard. I saw him a few months ago on Monday Night Raw and he looked like he did know what was going on.

Some of my favorite songs that he did are, War Pigs, Ironman, Rock and Roll Rebel, Bark at the Moon, N.I.B. Paranoia, Waiting for Darkness, Crazy Train. I know that I am missing alot but thats what comes to me right now.

He is the true Prince of Darkness.

@Tasuki
Ozzy actually has Parkin Syndrome, which is different than Parkinson's Disease (though they possess common symptoms), in that Parkin Syndrome is genetic.

But yes, he didn't look good at all (even for him these days) on Raw.

And totally agree that Sabbath isn't Sabbath at all without Ozzy.

@Aviator
Huh? Surely you're not referring to that stupid "Suicide Solution" lawsuit.
