Who would win? I say Mortal Kombat.

Killer Instinct

Guilty Gear. Or rather, anything other than Mortal Kombat.

The fighting and Fatalities were alot better than Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat

Serious answer: Mortal Kombat. I like slower, methodical fighters. Not a fan of ridiculous combos and button mashing.

And Soul Calibur 2 will always be the best fighter.

Better then most fighters today in my opinion, I love the whole series, love the original, the second one is good and the new one looks awesome and is expanding!

doesn't the new one just have like 4 characters?

all i can say is... i think there are SO many extremely better fighting games out there than killer instinct
a few examples: Super Smash Bros., Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Fighter's Destiny (oldschool!), even Tekken and Dead or Alive
and many others

in my opinion Killer Instinct is just a medicore fighting game... or rather the whole franchise is the definition of the word "medicore"
but that's just my opinion

They made the new Killer Instinct small because they wanted to see if there was any fans who still liked the series, it was or one of the best selling launch titles and so they are going to improve the game more, there are 7 characters out now with one coming out in January and one in March, there is going to be a "second season" which they add more characters along with character attacks and items, they will also improve stages. The game is so smooth and characters are well made, even the net code for online play is amazing.
On the other hand Smash bros is more of a beat em up and those other games I won many matchs with not much skill, the new Killer Instinct needs strategy when it comes to combos because you want to deal as much damage as you can and your combos can be broken by combo breakers so you need to trick people in a way that's hard to explain, you need to memorize moves because you won't get anywhere by button mashing, the game never gets old and can't wait until new things come out for it.

I like most fighting games, although for some reason I have never liked Tekken.

Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers, and The King of Fighters. Darkstalkers for its flashiness, KOF for its Mechanics, and Guilty Gear for its everything.
