Ha my son has you all beat he was playing since 2 lol. And thats true granted I dont know if he knew what he was doing at the time but he figured out that pressing A made the guy jump and pressing B did another action. Mostly there were wrestling games he was playing so it wasnt anything like Mario Bros with crazy jumps or anything.

Ah, the good ol' days of pressing buttons in SMB3 and Zelda II. Those were good times
