Lakers just defeated the Celtics in game seven of the NBA Finals, and this WhoKnew is disapointed. Who did you want to win? What did you think of the game?
Yeah, I was rooting for Boston but was starting to get pissed with them, especialy Rondo, who was taking too much time with the ball near the end of the game.
@Alexsays phil has 13 total including his wins as a player even better
And hell ya lakers win was definitely what i wanted, and expected. I bought the ps3 theme for them and was going all out for these guys. Big game for artest and kobe's support stepping up made me joyous indeed. I'll sleep well tonight. The overall game was a showcase of sub-par offense but intensely good defense. I'd rather have had it the other way round for an epic scoreboard, but i'll take this as greatness.
It's funny though cuz my whole family except me likes boston, and my favorite team has always been the lakers. So it's like a weird situation in the house now. Divided we are but at least i can say im laughing about it
Kobe didn't bring anything. He was terrible all game long. It was the Laker bigs dominating the offensive glass and a superb game by Artest (!!) that put them over the top.
This was the expected outcome - the Lakers were bigger and more talented, and even though the Celtics had a great post-season, they fell just short of another title. My biggest disappointment was not seeing Perkins and his menacing stare on the court. Must've killed the big goon to be stuck on the bench with a torn up knee.
Might not have been his best game with 23 and being 6 for 24 but look at other stuff than points before assessing...as in look at his 15 rebounds, his passes, and his free throws (although not his best FT game). Still, thats not bringing nothing to the table. Considering the game he could have had cuz of how off he was, he gave it his all to overcome an off-day, thats a good thing in this fan's view
Tell me about it. They're rioting 4 blocks from my hotel. Helicopters, sirens, people running and screaming and jumping on cars. If you guys don't see me again, you'll know what happened. Sheesh! Guess that's what I get for staying in a hotel that's only 4 blocks from the Staples Center. LOL
Now that I moved to New England area, I cant stand Boston fans. I root against anything Boston -- so I was psyched with the Lakers making that 4th quarter 'come-back' for the win.

sigh Oh well. But... I didn't even expect the Celtics to make it past the second round. When they did that, and then beat Orlando, I actually believed they could win. And then.... they lose.

Meh, I call it like I see it. Kobe gets enough praise when he deserves it, so calling him out when he comes up short isn't a bad thing. Despite a tremendous post-season, he made a lot of bad decisions last night and (during the biggest game of the season) came up much smaller than a superstar should. Luckily Gasol and Artest both had solid games to help make up for Bryant's hard night, while FIsher was able to come back and close out the fourth without a turnover... otherwise Boston might've been celebrating this morning.
Did anyone else see Artest interviewed after the game? I know the guy isn't perfect, but you have to cheer for him after working so hard this season. Very glad to see him come out with a great game to finish off the series.
I'm from Boston so you gotta understand how mad I am lol. They had that game too but they just completely blew their lead over at the end...what a dissapointing shame. Unbelievably the Bruins did it during the Playoff's too. I think we just have bad luck over here. Wouldn't be surprised now if the Sox did it too.
