Just wondering if anyone is using this?

I got an invite from my cousin who was lucky enough to get in in the first place. I remember last week how they put a lock of more people coming in but I guess that was been lifted since then anyhow. And if you haven't noticed- Nintendolife is making use of the "1" buttons that Google is allowing third-party websites to use. I didn't think Nintendolife would be one of the firsts, though.

In terms of the Google service, it's pretty similar to Facebook. Navigation is somewhat confusing at first, but the concept of "circles" really drew me into it more because there's lots of people with Myspace and Facebook who have 1000 friends
With circles, I'm glad I can categorize people under friends, family and acquaintances and even make a new circle/category. The concept is really nice, especially the "hangout" where you can video chat with some friends at one time. There's no ads on Google+ either, which is seemingly creeping into Facebook. And I don't mean those simple ads, but those annoying banners (which also creeped into Youtube and crashed the flash player at once while I was watching a movie). Sometimes, sound randomly comes up on these banners, like Fiesta Online or advertisement for a cleaning product. But that doesn't happen on Facebook, so.. I kinda got carried away there.

Anyways, I just really like how clean Google+ is and how it's similar to Gmail's simple interface (to be expected). It's obvious in it's early stages, but I can kinda see this replacing my Facebook- or stealing time from it. Though, I'm not on Facebook all day or paying attention to it.

I would love to join becasue yes, the ads on facebook are gettting ridicluous, but frankly, it would be useless to join and not have any friends becasue all of my friends are still on facebook. So until more of my friends get on it, I'll stay on Facebook.

I just got invited today, and I agree they have quite a novel concept with the "circles" and drag and drop interface. I'm not a very social person, so how much I'll actually use it remains to be seen but for those into social networking I can see it being quite a success.

Yeah, I signed up and haven't used it much, but I like the circles. I hesitate to post anything on Facebook, because I don't want to broadcast it to so many people that I don't know very well. It seems odd that no one could have figured this out before. I would gladly give up Facebook for Google+. It almost creeps me out the way Google is becoming too much of the Internet, but they do always seem to figure out how to do everything the best.

Well, I really like Gmail more than Hotmail.

use it for work--it's great. way more useful than facebook with a lot more helpful business-related integrated features. Huge fan so far.

from what I've been hearing I would love to try Google+ but sadly all of my friends are using facebook

I've been playing with it a bit, but personally I'm a fan of making use of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn rather than Google, despite it offering a big, bloated bag of assorted good ideas and products.

Something bugs me about that company. It's presonal, and I don't really know what it is, but I do not like Google.

Maybe they have the potential to take over the world if they wanted to?

Nah, I couldn't care less about that - I don't have the same fear of big corporations that a lot of people do.

I don't know what it is I don't like about Google. I've hung out with the guys from the Australian office and... they just bug me. I really don't know what it is.
