Topic: Destructoid article....How Darksiders is blatently better than Zelda..

Wow, I really hate how 'gamers' seem to forget how much Mario and Zelda have influenced all games. (referring to the Mario bashing article from IGN) It's quite annoying and pathetic. And to be honest it's embarresing for them. Also Ive never played Darksiders but it just seems like they are trying to hit below the belt.

That is the most amazing article i have read today. It's one giant list of exaggerations, man... i don't think it's to be taken at absolute face value. I lol'd. :3

Well just because something was influenced by something else doesn't mean it can't be superior. Darksiders did get very good reviews from just about everywhere, and the latest console Zelda didn't.

It's a joke right? It has to be. All those points are meaningless!

Then again...people actually ARE that ridiculous now a days...

Sure, Zelda influenced all this stuff, but while Zelda is still stuck back in the days of the SNES and N64, with minimal innovation each game, other games at least try and do something new.

Just my own opinion, but as a game reviewer, if I'm ever given a Zelda game to review, I can assure you that unless Nintendo change things properly (and no, adding a train doesn't count), then it's getting a 6/10 from me.

I can only assume this is supposed to be funny, but it's not. Terrible writing. I haven't played the game, and though I must say it looks better than Zelda, it doesn't look good, either. I wonder when people will learn that constantly insulting the reader and using the type of language most frequently used by boys on a playground isn't funny.

i laugh so hard this guy needs to wake up from reality besides that just because a game a "darker" or "hardcore" doesn't mean it's better. See this video and you know what i mean:

D-d-duh! Of course it's a joke! Do you think they'd let that many grammical and factual errors, along with blatant unnecessary use of explatives would get by in an actual, factual article? I'm just saying, if it looks like a joke, it probably is.

You're kinda missing the point: He's wrote the article as if he were a fanboy, construding and exaggerating the points that actual fanboys have made claiming that Darksiders is better than Zelda. The entire thing is one big satire.

It's not. Destructoid does a ton of joke articles. They make the articles look like they're written by intelligent people when really Destructoid is just silently mocking what online morons do every day. That's basically the reason why I love Destructoid. They make people who talk before they think look like complete idiots.

That article probably got Destructoid a billion hits. It's definitely a joke.

That article is hilarious. If anything, it's praising Zelda by parody.

Metacritic - Darksiders = 83, Twilight Princess = 95.

Darksiders completely looks like World of Warcraft and plays like God of War + Legend of Zelda. That is very unoriginal and a turn off for me.

I saw this article earlier and I was tempted to post a thread on here about it but I decided against it. I figured that too many people would probably take the article seriously or even find it offensive. I am familiar with Destructoid and this is simply what they do on their site. The "blatantly better" articles are regularly featured on their site and are usually pretty hilarious.
