It actually seems my forum became a counting chat lol! But enough of arguing how many games there are in the Zelda series. What are your thoughts on the Zelda games. 0,0
For the most part I like the Zelda games alot. I have played most of them most of the ones I missed are the hand held ones with the exception of Links Awakening. Of course I cant play the ones that use the cartoon Link mainly cause I just cant get into those games due to the horrible graphics. I have yet to play Twilight Princess as well due to the fact that I dont know if I want to get it on the Gamecube or the Wii. But over all its one of my favorite series and has been since the day I put a gold cartridge into my NES.
I thought Wind Waker had the best graphics in the series.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
i think they should sell the CDi games as "3D Classics" on the eShop!
I have to say that my favorite zelda games are the GBC ones, i spent hours on them when i was a kid (and i am currently playing Link's Awakening!) and Majora's Mask (even the GBC games took some elements from this one, which made them even more awesome).

[quote=15598]From my understanding the CD-i games were authorized by Nintendo with a deal between Nintendo and Philips. Also from what I have read they do not fit into the time line of any of the Zelda games but they are Zelda games neverless.[/quote
actually they werent authorized because nintendo and phillips got in a fight and phillips decided to make unofficial mario an zelda games besides they dont have the official nintendo seal of authorization

actually, Nintendo had partnered with first Sony, then Phillips to create a CD-based add-on for the SNES, but after witnessing how bad the Sega CD was received, they scrapped it. As part of the agreement to dissolve their partnership, they allowed Phillips to use some of their characters for CD-i games, resulting in the CD-i Zelda atrocities and Hotel Mario.
what you're probably thinking of with the 'seal' is the Nintendo Seal of Quality, which appears on software and accessories officially licensed by Nintendo for use on or with Nintendo consoles. since the CD-i is a Phillips console, the lack of the Seal being anywhere near these games makes sense.

These are my thoughts on the main series Zelda games.
The Legend of Zelda - A classic in my eyes. It might be a bit old, but like its cartridge, it's gold. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - Good game, but dang it's hard! A Link to the Past - Love it. Best of the 2D Zeldas. Link's Awakening (DX) - One of the best Game Boy games ever created. An emotional roller coaster. Can't wait to download the eShop version! Ocarina of Time (3D) - My favorite game in the series. A perfect game from start to finish. It will really shine in 3D. Majora's Mask - It's excellent, but the 3 Day Cycle puts pressure on me. Oracle of Seasons/Ages - Only played Seasons, but from what I played, I enjoyed it. Capcom did a wonderful job making them. I hope these games appear on the eShop one day. Four Swords - Never played it. I will in September, though! The Wind Waker - A lovely and expressive title with the superb controls of Ocarina of Time. I hated the sailing in the last part of the game, though. Four Swords Adventures - A great way to spend time with three other friends; chucking each other and complaining like old ladies. Never play it alone, though. The Minish Cap - I know I will get bashed for this, but I have yet to play it. I'll have to buy a used copy someday. Twilight Princess - A masterpiece, but it lacks color. I'm a guy who likes color. Phantom Hourglass - Good, but not as good as Link's Awakening. The sailing was better, but it still got a bit tiresome. Spirit Tracks - Better than Phantom Hourglass. I found the train to be more exciting than the boat. Skyward Sword - Since it's not even out yet, I lack an opinion for a gameplay stand point. However, I can say that it looks visually impressive and it should have the best controls in the series.
