Topic: Ideas for the site

There's a discussion in the forums currently about ranking eshop titles. I'm aware that this https://www.nintendolife.com/wiiu-eshop/games/browse?sort=rating exists, but it's dominated by VC/Wii games, so it would be great for eshop fans to be able to filter out the VC/Wii games and just view a ranked list of the non-VC/Wii/Wii U disc games.

@vanzan If it's a duplicate thread you're talking about, I know your pain - I've posted threads that had to be locked, and any links or bbcode formatting had to manually typed all over again (Yes, I'm still gonna harp about the lack of formatting buttons), but the better solution is to do a forum search before posting a new thread. If you see anything that's less than 6 months old, just post there instead.

@vanzan If you're referring to this thread, make sure to properly explain what your thread is about next time to make one. Any threads that are nonsense will be closed. Also make sure that the thread's name reflects the topic inside. I have no idea what that thread was supposed to be, so I closed it.

@vanzan ...Okay, first off: use the contact form if you want to contact the staff and mods, especially if you need a discussion about disciplinary things like locked threads. For future reference, you'll find it near the bottom right-hand side of the page, above the "popular right now" section.

Second of all: You were already very clearly told why those threads were locked. The first one was weird and confusing, and you were asked to explain it. Again, I suggest using the contact form for that.

Granted, I'm not a moderator, I've just been here too long. But seriously, don't just "@" a mod and start making demands. That's just bad karma.

@vanzan That's not what I was asking. The thread you linked got closed because we already have an NX thread. There's no point in discussing its price when we don't know what the system is. So until then, you can use the existing thread for NX speculation, rumours and everything else.

Me neither, never even tried it before...I just swore at the mod that locked my thread (....in my head, lol), then went to pout in a corner.....Ok not really.

@antdickens When I click on the ''message/reason'' empty text box in the report issue page, it takes me the Nintendo UK store Sun & Moon page. Presumably the add is activated whenever the you click on the text box. Can you give it a look? Not being able to click on the sides of this page without getting redirected has already become a nuisance, but not being able to click the text box takes it one step further.

@antdickens ...No idea who actually made the report dashboard for the mods, so I'm just gonna ask you instead. You think it would be possible for the "Potential Profanity" notifications to have the word highlighted to help some of us out? I sometimes look at the post and can't find anything, thought having it highlight the word(s) in someway would help a lot.

This would be a great idea. I know I run into this problem on Push Square myself especially when a person writes up a wall of text.

So I was wondering, with the Switch coming out will the Wii and DS sections be moved into the retro section?

Seconded. Especially when I'm on my iPad, it's so annoying. The rest of your ads take up enough space as it is. Not to mention I still hate how everything is skewed to the left!
