Topic: Why's everyone hyping up the 3DS?

....This thread is starting to make me crave for oreos. lol.

i thought people all hated it

If the malevolent thead is overcome by oreos, then it will make this thread either...
1) An oreo discussion and get locked, or
2) Everybody will stop looking at it, so they could go get some oreos

I think the better question is... "What Nintendo fan wouldn't be hyped about the "3DS"!"

Stupid question, maybe because it's a NEXT GEN handheld? It's NOT the same as the DS series idiot.

If you want to see what the 3DS looks like, google it. It looks a lot like an i phone.

Those are just mock-ups. Only Nintendo knows what it looks like at this point.

Hell, I'm a bit irked that it's coming so soon after the DSi. Still I am interested in seeing how capable the 3DS really will be. Heck if all it does is just add the rumored (and hopefully) close-to-Gamecube processing ability that may be enough for me. (Yeah, I'm an easy pushover) If the 3D is any good it may be an added plus, but I doubt that would be the main selling point for me. If it turns out it's just another incremental update, now with 3D screen, count me out.

I'm getting it no matter what so ya. I'm not screaming to everyone how awesome it is to "hype" up people but it's a new handheld and I'm required to get it for my own good... right?

I don't think its a gimmick, but because of the hype, there might be some dissapointment. Example: Virtual Boy
