Never played the Lufia games. lol Though I know a lot of people like them. Don't even know if this is for the DS as it's in all their sections (PS3, Xbox, Wii, DS ect ect) So I dunno. lol
As part of being a n00b, I have no idea what "Lufia" is. Anyone wanna explain?

Thanks! Never was into RPGs, so this isn't much of an amazing announcement to me now. Probably not gonna get it now I know what it is.

Ahh, this is awesome! I played Lufia II way back when, and while I never got anywhere because I was too young to understand what the heck was going on, I enjoyed it. A new game is sweet news, and if it's on the DS like I'm thinking (and hoping), it should hit pretty high on the buy list. Never enough JRPGs in the world, I say, especially if it's a revival of a series that saw it's high point on the SNES.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I looking forward for this on the DS. I didn't play Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals but enjoyed watching it as my big brother beat it, great storyline and fighting system. I did play Lufia: The Legend Returns for the GBC but the large amount of characters makes it ridiculous (good game though). I'm still looking for Lufia: The Ruins of Lore for GBA but have never found it in any stores… ever!
Did I mention I want this game right now? Oh and Ray you may want to pass on Ruins of Lore. Really it wasn't received very well and in my opinion the worst in the series, but to each their own.
By the way I found out some more info. This new Lufia is confirmed to come to DS, but right now only in Japan. It was confirmed by Famitsu. One bad note though is it sounds like they are turning the Lufia series into an ARPG. Here is the link:
tbh Lufia's battle system was god but not great....to me it was the puzzle solving and level design that was amazing. If they toss an awesome ARPG system to replace the kinda Dragon-Quest-with-IP battle system I think it could actually turn out well. As Wild Arms: Alter Code F showed us though, modernization can go pretty awry...
Here's to hoping we get a VC release of Lufia 1 and 2 to get us pumped!
