Usually I totally agree with NintendoLife's scores. There have been many 9's this year, but that's just because Nintendo has had a lot of great games this year. The one thing I will say about this site, though, is that I really think they need to do .5's as well. To me, there's a big difference between a 9 and a 9.5, or an 8.5 and a 9, and I think that their reviews could benifit from that. There's no reason to not do it.

I think the scores are generally high, too, but I don't want a wider scale. Most people reading a review are going to round it, anyway. If I see a 9.2, I think 9. I don't think, man, this game is so much better than that 9 game, I better get it. People should just learn to ignore the score completely. Unless you don't trust their writing, there's no need to even look at the number. The score chart shows that they just mean things like "good" or "great," and you can easily pick up on that from the review.
Yeah, I agree with this. Like I said, I think incraments of .5 are good, but when you start giving out review scores like 9.75 things are getting a bit out of hand. It pisses me off when reviewers will give a game something like a 9.9 or an 8.9. Seriously, would it have killed you to round it up .1? But like you said, the most important thing is the actual written review, and the score reflects their reccomendation.
