^ Dreamland 3 isn't actually a bad game at all in my opinion, it's just slower paced than Adventure and Super Star and doesn't really have extras. Still get it if you enjoy Kirby games though, I did.
Dreamland 3 isn't bad as much as meh compared to other games. It's a good game and would be more respected if it wasn't in a series that has much, much better games. Probably the best soundtrack in the series.
Also, Dreamland 2 would more accurately be called Kirby's Adventure 2 because that's pretty much what it is.
Well what about Kirby 64? I've heard that one's even more slower paced than DL3. And that's good to hear that DL2 is basically a spiritual successor to Kirby's Adventure. Does it top it or fall a bit short?
DL2 introduced the concept of animal buddies. The different critters enhance Kirby's abilities, and allow him to move better in different environments (air, underwater, etc.).
But Kirby's Adventure has some of the best level design in the entire series. It's only topped by Kirby's Return to Dreamland (in my opinion).
I love Dreamlad 3! I'll never understand the people who say it is a bad game. The cat helper (Nano?) was my personal favorite, most of his habilities are awesome... And he rolls kirby around as a ball.
Maybe because it's a somewhat rare, and thus expensive, game people got their expectations of KDL3 so high? (lucky I ended up getting it new back in the day because it was NoA's only new SNES release that year? )

It's not rare or expensive. Anyone can download it on the Wii's Virtual Console service.
I don't think it would stop them. The collection is for Wii, it's the 3DS owners we are talking about. Plus there are no upgrades to the game in either version, so it makes more sense to be released than Kirby Super Star and KSSU came out.

I actually enjoyed Kirby 64 a lot. Although I'll admit that I last played it years ago, and have no idea if it holds up well today (I also believe it was very short).
More on topic, however, I'll definitely get Dream Land 2 once it's available on eShop in the U.S., as I've never played it before.
