Topic: 3DS themes!

Since most people use this thread to talk about themes and news related to them I changed the title of the thread to just "3DS themes".

My 2DS decided to update and it's taking some time.

Could this be THE update?

New features:

-General redesign for the home menu
-Themes
-Theme Shop
-Y can be used to take screenshots of the home menu
-There's a quick access button to the image sharing web page and the console settings in the menu settings tab
-The multitasking apps and other buttons on the top of the touchscreen can be selected with the buttons and have their own 3D "preview" Screens.
-The pages of the games in the eShop are completely redesigned.

-More?

-I think the little "New" banners in the eShop look different too.

Sorry, but I don't think this is THE update. After all, how would possibly update away the 2DS' problem of being a 2DS?

I can confirm that the update version 9.0.0-20 brings the long waited themes to 3DS family.

This is pretty awesome, downloading it now, some said it wouldn't be out until mid or late October but that isn't the case.

Yeah! It brings themes. Right now you only get simple colors, but I you can buy more on the Theme shop. There's a new design for the dashboard, too. The multitasking functions now have their own 3D icon, and Notifications will give you the new notifications while in Home Menu.

Buying the black felt mario theme right now.

I'll download the free ones too, while I'm at it.

Edit: oh, it doesn't seem like they are there yet.

How much memory does themes take?

About 30 blocks.

Hey, (Mighty)Morph, how long did it take for you to download it?

Going with the Zelda one, Japan got a lot more then us but I guess we will get more down the road, also you can enter codes to get free themes!...does this mean there will be themes on CN?

A few minutes. Five tops.

It's been at least 5 minutes and it's about 2/3rds of the way there. Not super-bad, but it spent most of that time around the 10% point before jumping rapidly...

And do I see themes?? Now THAT is exciting. Can't wait for this to finish.

EDIT: Well, the update is done and I'm glad I can get themes, now, but at the moment, I can't afford to buy themes. Glad they have different colors for free, though! Got a blue background and I love the new layout!

I guess I got lucky and downloaded it before too many people noticed it.
