Topic: Things that could have been..

OK, the 3DS is amazing I will give Nintendo that. But the more I mess around the more I realize what more could be done! I know there is always updates and new apps will be for download on the eShop but hey I got some suggestions! First of all I think it would be really sweet to have a sort of Bestiary in Ocarina of Time where you can view extended information about a enemy of character, and also view a 3D model of them! That would be the best.

The other good idea I had was that you could use your 3DS coins to purchase a monster egg of some sort that after a certain number of steps add up on your pedometer, would hatch! Sort of like Poke'mon I guess in the sense you can collect all sorts of different monsters and share and maybe even battle with your friends! Maybe they could make this a Poke'mon app! It would make it that much more familiar and easy.

What do you guys think of these ideas, I needed a forum site to join to discuss Nintendo stuff since I just got my 3DS

yeah such a tamagotchi app would be cool. maybe with all kinds of famous nintendo enemies.

Well to be honest for any system there can always be more stuff to do. Nothing is perfect just accept that. Everyone always seems to complain when a new system comes out but I think the 3ds is great. I know they could have done more but trust me a lot more will be coming.

Funky_Gamer and TheGameMonkey28, I tried to make it clear I'm not complaining. Nintendo did a fantastic job with the 3DS, and I am very satisfied. I just thought I'd throw out some ideas that they could have or still can utilize. Maybe some of you guys should share your ideas on how they can use this new 3D engine too.

I think in a future update they should add more stuff to the AR games program. like for example being able to turn the 3D modeling creations into AR Shot levels and share them with people over wifi

No you didn't. I did. I mention Wind Waker because in that game there is an island you can go to where you can do the exact things you mentioned, meaning you can look at a ton of different character models and there is a brief description of each of them.

THIS! I complained about this the first time I got on the Friend's List app and saw that you couldn't do it. I guess they did that to help promote the 3DS games, but I still think it's lame.

the 3ds is only starting, who knows what more it will bring. the DSi wasnt what it is right now at first.

your egg and monster thing would be addictive. so addictive. but this is the kind of app that probably wont see the light else than if nintendo makes it. and nintendo has been clear recently; they will stay away from freebie.
but i would still be willing to pay for such an small game. those coins dont have much purpose now else than Find Mii, or puzzle swap if your lucky to still have a canvas that needs pieces.
