I don't get why people were saying the 3D wasn't good in this. It looks great to me. The backgrounds and platforms and such definitely have extra added depth to them and the graphics in general are just overall more smooth and crisp. There isn't much pop-out 3D effect in the game, but I can't imagine how that would have worked in Kirby's Adventure anyhow.

When I close my eyes, I see pixilated blood.

Don't most of these 3D classics have an option in the game to increase the 3D effect?
The little trailer video on the Shop probably doesn't show it on the maximum setting.

Yes I have it all the way up Link. You can change it in options. You can also choose a light or dark background from there.

Just beat it. This remake really does have some gorgeous moments and some of the 3D really does become more apparent in the later levels. Loved it even though the price was misquoted lol.

I have all the 3D Classics so far so I'd downloading right this second if I could.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough money in my eShop account after deciding to buy Freakyforms so now I have to wait until I have some more money to spare, which may be hard to come across with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 all coming out shortly.

I saw the trailer and didn't like the 3D effect because it seems is just in the background, but can you change this in options? is the 3D effect better in the game than in the trailer?

Having the 3D on the highest setting does make the effect more intense.
It's not a huge difference but more obvious than in the trailer.
I don't really see what the dark/light setting does though.
Is that supposed to make the background look further away?

Well if the price is $6.99, Nintendo needs to correct their own site.
And if it's $5.99, they owe those who paid it the dollar back. And even if $6.99 is right, hopefully they'd still refund it to apologize for the mistake.

Checking Nintendo's support forums, I see they have been notified of the error over 8 hours ago, with no response from a rep yet.

It toggles the brightness of the background between two settings.

Well obviously. I mean what's the benefit of having the background dark or light?

It's not that obvious if you were asking if it changed the depth of the background!

The benefit is personal preference, just like nearly every option of nearly every game.

I'm still not quite sure what the point is in changing the brightness of the background.
Why would they even think an option like that was needed?
Was I right about it making the depth more noticeable? I really don't see much difference other than light or dark.

Loving this game. 3-d is perfect and the way the worlds are created is amazing There are so many options and ways to control Kirby that it gets confusing for a newbie like me (to this series) but I'll get the hang of it

Best 3D classic I have so far, I have all of them except Xevious.

I already have the NES cart and KNiDL, but I'll still be downloading it. KA is still probably my favorite Kirby game, closely followed by SSU and CS, though RtDL is slowly climbing the ranks.

Totally agreed! The 3-D is PERFECT in this. I find the subtle one layered effect to be very nice! Seems like a brand new game to me Oh, and the reviewer here on NL says the intro to this game isn't in tact. In fact, it is... you just have to let it sit on the title screen for a bit before it starts. Hopefully he'll update his review to reflect that. I think the review paints the game in a pretty harsh light. While still giving it an 8/10, the reviewer says the 3-D effect is wasted here and I think he couldn't be more wrong! It's perfect.

And yet its one mans opinion. Can we talk about the game here and not bash the review or reviewer? The reviewers here work pretty hard to get these reviews out to us. Even if the review was different, not everyone is going to agree on every point.

I finally beat Kirby's Adventure for the very first time. I didn't bother to finish it on the Wii Virtual Console because for a Kirby game the colors are not that colorful and cheerful unlike the 3D Classics version.

The original NES often had that problem, so I wouldn't blame the Wii VC. If the emulation is accurate, there probably should be slowdown when several things are on the screen.

But it's not emulation; it's a port, as Arika had to re-do the game's art as polygons to create the 3D effect. So, and don't hold me to this since I haven't played this version (or game, for that matter), they probably could've fixed the lag problems the original had, since the 3DS's processing power is exponentially greater than the NES's.

Exactly.
