Topic: SSB4 Story Ideas

Maybe not but any new story mode would be excellent fan service should it at least reference all of it's new/old characters whether they be Nintendo's own or 3rd party be it in the form of themed story stages, boss battles, music or just enemies.

Personally, I'm one of those people who are against shoving every last reference into a game like this. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Just make a coherent, and satisfying plot, that doesn't seemed forced or purely for fan service and I'll be fine.

I just like the idea of references being there for the younger gamers so they are aware of their favourite characters roots. I feel it's important to keep it fresh in peoples minds with games such as this

I'm hoping the story mode takes place in each of the character's world. Though, it is the world of "Smash Bros." where trophies are meant to fight. Well, maybe that's why they didn't use the worlds of each franchise represented because it wouldn't blend too well. Then again, they can make it work...

I don't want it to be overly complicated though. There are too many worlds to cover in one story mode

I think the announcer should laugh when you click the story mode and kick you straight to multiplayer.

To be completely serious, though, if they want to make another story mode for SSB4 it needs to be interesting and relevant to the properties contained in the game. Why is it that with all the history Nintendo has they make all the areas and basic enemies totally generic and boring? I just ... that makes no sense to me.

I couldn't agree more! SSB is a multiplayer game be that locally or online and for me, that's the only real way to play games like this. You don't play Soul Calibur or Street Fighter because of their gripping script. You play them because it's fun to in numbers right?
