Everyone loved the Subspace Emissary story in SSBB. Fact. So if Nintendo does the right thing and puts in another story mode into SSB4, what do you think should be in it and what the plot should be about?

No great maze.

I really want to see another Story mode similar to Brawls.
Just, not so much favoritism shown to the Kirby franchise. I understand why, but even so.
I kind of didn't like the part where Dedede just slapped Bowser int he face likes he is his pet or something.

There should be more enemies from the actual franchises. Examples of ones i would like include shy guys, peahats, metroids, waddle doos, tiki goons, monoeyes, stuff like that. Not just the random new enemies used in brawl.

I put up a fantasy roster on the ssb4 character roster thread saying that I wanted Iwata and Miyamoto in the game
I had an idea
You, Iwata, must command fellow Nintendo game characters to destroy everything Miyamoto knows and loves in an attempt to blackmail him into staying with Nintendo (They'll never let him leave at this rate. They'll all be sad to see him go.)

Id just settle for an advanced version of the Subspace Emissary. I managed to beat the entire thing in one sitting, so it wasn't really a big factor for me.

That said, if they were to make a completely new story, which was considerably longer, I think I'd pay more attention to it. I would like seeing the playable enemies as the main villains, instead of a random unknown character being the final boss (maybe have Giga Bowser as the final boss?)

It really all depends on which new characters and franchises they decide to put in the game.

As far as the plot itself, I don't have an idea besides the predictable heroes vs. villains plotline, but I'm sure I could up with something with more time. And I definitely agree that there should be actual Nintendo enemies rather than random, bizarre ones. It should learn a thing or two from the adventure mode in Melee. Sometimes I felt like I was fighting Kingdom Hearts enemies in The Subspace Emissary.

I would like to see some voices. It made it kind of awkward in some cases. Especially when Snake showed up, and was completely silent. Silent characters can stay silent, but ones that usually talk, should be aloud to talk.

Is it ok for the creator of his own thread to submit his own ideas?
If so, I want two different stories, one for Wii U, one for 3DS. And make them intertwine with each other to unlock a new story once you've completed the story on both consoles.

Nintendo make mega-money, we get two Solo modes, wheres the catch?

Yes! When you think about it now you have to wonder why such an obvious idea was never added in brawl! Make it so Nintendo for Wii U/3DS!

Smash Bros is all about multiplayer for me. Solo mode is very much an object that I must grudgingly plow through in order to unlock things. Things I would like to see unlocked in more optional ways. i.e. with friends or specifically online. I Falcon Pawnch your idea of 2 solo modes!

@Nintyfan Just want to say NoA wrote the US script, as for who cast voices thats beyond me.
One thing must stay true, keep the silent types quite like Link or Classic Sonic from Sonic Generations [in terms of voice]

@Mercury9 I second the motion! Make it happen Nintendo, its not like we don't like Navi, only she was [and still is] VERY TALKATIVE
Also Im up for a great new subspace but make it to where I CAN'T UNLOCK every character through this mode. Some are o.k. but not all of them, [-wolf, -toon link, and -jigglypuff]

10% off topic but how about a punch out!! style trophy collection mini game that could replace the space invader-esque one seen in brawl?
1 vs. 1 over the shoulder or 1st person between all available fighters!

Ducking and weaving with motion control!

Well it would feature the word Fight! and that would imply an epic duel between 2 warriors, a story if you will lol

On the subject of a story, how about returning to the idea of Master hand and the "toy" fighters from Smash Bros 64. If Sonic returns we could have Dr. Robotnik go head to head with say Bowser in a bid to take over the world.

Maybe even mix it up a bit. Dr Robotnik kidnaps Peach.Kirby finds and accidentally eats the Triforce and becomes the last boss! . Olimar crash lands in Hoenn suffers a bump and looses his memory, goes nuts and must gather the help of it's Pokemon to enslave the planet lol Because of the possible sheer size of the Wii U version I'd love to see multiple graphical styles that reference past system and games included too

I thought that the Silence and non-Nintendo enemies added a certain charm to the story mode, which I liked much more than Melee's.
I guess Pit and Snake could talk. MAYBE Sonic and Samus. But that at the most.

But if they were actually toys like they were supposedly meant to be in Smash64 they couldn't speak anyway! I sure hope they don't. Pit is good in small chunks before he starts to grate!

Maybe even an uber serious but comedic take on the Metal Gear Solid universe or something similar

People seem to forget that SSB is a celebration of Nintendo Franchises, and pulling out random plots to tie in with 3rd party characters doesn't settle well.
I like the original story of Brawl. It wasn't just a generic "good guy vs bad guy" scenario. It was all the beings, both good and bad, fighting against one who wished to destroy them all. Not a unique plot, but it was a great change of pace from Nintendo's others.
