Anybody that has been following Nintendo advertisements, often see that the 3DS XL and 2DS. But where's the 3DS?
Gone, according to this page http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/buy#threeDS-XL-nes
Last week I checked this site, and it only had the Pink 3DS left in the site http://web.archive.org/web/20140917220721/http://www.nintendo...
But it seems that that is no longer the case.
So, if you're looking for a cheap 3DS, without paying too much, you're going to have to wait for the New 3DS.
It makes sense for them to discontinue the original 3DS since the New 3DS is right around the corner, especially for Japan. What I'm surprised is that the XL isn't the first one to be discontinued since I assume people would buy the rest of the XLs quicker than the 3DS.
The 3DS has always disappeared from the Nintendo website. Doesn't really mean anything unless we hear anything straight from the horse's mouth.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
It seems strange to make it "Disappear" while it's still in production. It would require someone to personally edit that out, I don't see how it could be an accident.
They even took the liberty of changing
"Try out a Nintendo 3DS at any one of thousands of retail locations nationwide." (As shown in the archive website)
To "Try out a Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS at any one of thousands of retail locations nationwide." (As shown today on Nintendo's website)
