No Wii U, it's about the 3DS

EDIT: I just noticed there's Wii info too, I'm surprised. I thought Japan was done getting Wii games after their final Wii release, Dragon Quest X.

Well the Wii U is backwards compatible so I guess that's why they are still doing stuff for it. I just hope they got good 3DS news that isn't Japan exclusive.

I hope they announce Flipnote Memo if it's not going to be cross-platform with the Wii U.

no word of one yet so I doubt Nintendo of America is doing one.

Please announce that ALL current retail games for 3DS are available for DL as of NOW (well on that day) kinda like how they said KHDDD demo was available NOW. I'd like to DL rumble blast, TotA, KHDDD, and Mario Tennis

Sounds like this is only for Japan, though no doubt we'll be able to get some Western details from it too. Maybe NOE or NOA will issue some sort of press release with regional details tomorrow afternoon.

Ah god damnit... I so badly want Monster Hunter 3G ported while I wait for Monster Hunter 4 which is hopefully a worldwide release... I'd also be really in for some Nintendo first party awesomeness like Zelda, Metroid or F-Zero or WHAT THE HECK EVER, maybe they announce that they remove region lock and that every japanese game from now on HAS to have an english-language option. God, I'd be in gaming-heaven...

Nintendo of America isn't doing a Nintendo Direct. Probably because they are getting ready for the press conference on Sept 13th

Personally, I can't wait. Japanese ND's tend to be more exciting for me, because there is a greater chance of all new titles being announced instead of mostly release dates for my region.

A lot of these games may not be localized, true, but I get excited for them nonetheless

You do KNOW the April ND had no NA or EU conference, but they still posted news on the same day? Expecting the same if there is anything interesting.

And guys, Monster Hunter is Capcom's property, Nintendo can't do anything about it.

I know Capcom owns Monster Hunter, still, Im grasping for grass-roots... im desperate...

More 3DS games are being delayed to 2013

What will happen to this thread when it's August 30th?

I really hope they will do this for NA and EU as well!It's actually in about 12 hours or so so it may not seem likely.

EDIT: Nintendo just conformed that it will not have a NA counterpart to tonight's broadcast, according to IGN.

What do you EXPECT and WANT from the 8/29 Nintendo Direct?

EXPECT

• JPN release dates for Animal Crossing, Paper Mario Sticker Star, and Luigi's Mansion DM
• Tons of awesome new games for Japan that will make us incredibly jealous
• A new unannounced Mario spinoff game
• A new unannounced Mii mini game compilation (like Wii Play, but on 3DS)
• A Japanese localization of Mighty Switch Force (Remember, this event is Japanese)
• One last Wii game to close of the Wii in Japan

SOMEWHAT EXPECT

• A new surprise system for VC (Neo Geo Pocket Color, Wonderswan, Nomad, etc.) although it will only be in Japan for a while (Always Japan only for Wonderswan)

WANT

• A New Warioware
• Flipnote Memo
• Youtube app
• An app that let's you play DSiware right from the SD card
• Next update to include ability to do link cable for all GB and GBC VC games
• Next update to allow gifting on the eShop (like on the Wii, Japan would probably especially love this)

I'm learning that I should keep my expectations low for these things, so as to avoid being massively disappointed. So here's what I expect them to say:

• We're closing shop and moving to Sony

I think that's low enough.
