At the moment it seems it is about £30 cheaper to buy from a foreign Amazon site than the UK one.

The rules for the warranty on the Nintendo UK site state that it must be bought in the European Economic Area.

From Amazon Spain the XL is £150 from Amazon UK it is £180.

Seen as a charger is not included anyway that is a none issue.

Does anyone else have a better place to get it from or more information ?

£150 or 200 euro's seems the regular price in Europe(for the XL). A lot of retailers don't have the New 3DS on sale though, so there probably will be some even better options in the coming weeks.

I've noticed this as well, Amazon France is also a good bit cheaper than the UK retail. I can't see the New 3DS on Amazon UK for £180 though, only Japanese imports and stuff for ridiculous prices. Are Amazon UK selling it yet?

Anyway back on topic, has anyone ordered one from Amazon Spain / France? Is their a catch by ordering it from an Amazon site out of the UK? Or is this legit?

I have ordered other stuff from Amazon.de / Amazon.fr never paid any bank fees.

France/Germany/Spain are inside the European Economic Area.

3DS XL is 229 € here in Finland. 189 € for the regular model. Games and consoles are always expensive here. So I might as well buy it from Amazon.de instead...

So the warranty would still be honoured by Nintendo UK then? That's good! Maybe there isn't a catch.

Remember your 20% VAT kids, here in the UK that is. VAT dodging is probably clamped down on more than corporation tax dodging. (Yay Fatcats! etc.) So be careful out there!

In the EU you pay VAT in the country you buy it from its included in the same way as the UK.

France is 20% anyway. The new rules don't affect the customer. (As complicated as they are).

The New 3DS XL is down to about the equivalent of £145 on Amazon.fr

So just to confirm, there is no catch? Has anyone actually pre-ordered there New 3DS this way?
