Topic: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Discussion

In MH3 I think someone in-game said Monster Hunters are much stronger than normal humans.

Probably because they train and are physically fit, and use expensive super armors and weapons.

It's also probably because it's a VIDEO GAME!!! lol

Well yeah, but it's still pretty interesting to think about.

Either I was have THE worst luck ever in the past...or this Ultimate Kinsect I'm now using is really "Ultimate". (or maybe it's both, lol)

...Anyone still playing this? Going to play Xenoblade 3D for the night (I need to finish it up before X anyways) before heading back to 4U. Was thinking of dealing with G-Rank Fatalis...but I can't hunt him alone...

I got the game a couple weeks ago, got 60+ hrs into it already. I'm just finishing up the 5star Caravan quests, still got a lot of work to do for that, I think? Then I'll start working on the online stuff. So by the time I start playing online there probably wont be anyone to play with lol, but I'm still having a freaking blast with this game.

Hunting online with Iggly for a bit, need high rank Kirin horns. Also going to deal with G-Rank Dah'ren and MAYBE Fatalis.

...If only I had a Water Attack 10+ charm with 3 slots on it and this would be perfect...ah well, my Glaive already has over 1,000 attack, I'll be good. lol

...Ugh, and of course everything goes wrong when I record it...still killed him, but it took me over 35 minutes, go figure.

I just recently got back into my Monster Hunter groove recently (after a LONG time, and that too during exams >.<) and I must say, soloing this game does definitely seem like a much tougher endeavor than 3 Ultimate.

Trying to get my last special pass for Star Knight Armour and I end up getting killed by the Zinogre. He really did not need that much of a speed boost -_-

And news flash: apparently there are no subspecies in Monster Hunter Cross. I will miss some of them...

Although there is still the Golden Zinogre and Crimson Arzuros as "Hardcore Variants".

Some of the Elders and Apex monsters seem to be the only problem when soloing, but after figuring out how to do that Ultimate Kinsect thing...It does seem like it's possible for most of them.
Anyways, at some point this week I may need help with dealing with G-Rank Fatalis...once I get high rank horns from him...I'll be ready to get G-Rank ones. Doesn't look like I can solo him right now, kinda wished he had a non-event quest so it'll be a tad bit easier.

Finally beat the Zinogres down (two quests) and got my two tickets. Seregios is always easy, dies pretty quick in the arena. Guess not that many vertical differences in the arena don't play out it in its favour.

Zinogre on the other hand is much better than I remember him being in MH3U, especially his super charged fist slam which always gets me -_- Oh and he really does charge up really fast as well or it might just be this quest, haven't played for a while. The speed boost really upped his game, especially Styg. My favourite monster almost beat me down.

I think I will be more active now so I might be available for some hunts. Depends on whether I am studying though obviously, but due to them being on alternative days I do get some free time. G-Rank Fatalis is a pain, didn't beat him yet, but I don't have elemental sets so can't say I truly tried my best.

By the way, I finally got Star Knight Armour for my IG. What should I put the 5th skill as? Was thinking of Unshakeable but it got nerfed this game. Temporarily put Attack Up (M) for now.

Of course when I fight Apex Gravios again without recording, everything goes smoothly, only died once, but...ugh...go figure. xD

After downloading the demo again I changed my mind about this game, so I'm gonna buy it.
It's not too late to play it (for finding people online, I mean), right? Better late than never!

It's never too late to a Monster Hunter party, as it never stops. But like @DarthNocturnal said, it very much stops after 3 carts
