So, I don't know about anyone else, but I get a kick out of every time MM is referenced in anything, some people take it as a sign that the game is being developed. Example: Zelda Williams coming out on stage at the Smash Invitational with a MM prop. Is there really that much demand for it?
The thing is with Majora's Mask you either hate it or you love it I have never meet anyone who says oh that game is just ok I just find people who said it was the worst Zelda and other say its the best. With that said most of the MM paranoia is due to just fanboys of that game looking to deep into things. The think because OoT came out on the 3DS that MM is bound to come out. Because they are fanboys nothing you can say or show them to prove otherwise will change their minds that MM is bound to come.

Nah I say its just nintendo screwing with people, the game will definitely be made but with Hyrule Warriors coming out this year and Zelda WII U I'm not to concerned with the remake to a game you can get on Virtual Console.
Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?
There's a reason why OoT got a remake, it is the best selling Zelda game. Majora's Mask didn't sell that well. This doesn't mean that a remake isn't going to happen, but if Nintendo wants to remake another Zelda game, there's plenty of other game to choose from, that sold better in the past, and will probably do so again.
From what I've seen, just based off of comments on the internet, there's tons of younger players that haven't played the game, so with OoT 3D, OoT 3D selling well, and what I would consider reasonable amount of demand for the game, I think it is very likely. Also, since it basically uses the same engine, it seems even more possible.
It isn't my favorite Zelda game, gameplay wise, but the atmosphere, time system, puzzles, etc. are almost unbeatable by any other game, IMO. I thought Skyward Sword had the best gameplay, followed by Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess, then the N64 ones.
the time the 3ds got n64 is kinda over i think. but i would still consider getting a MM remake because i never played it and the only zelda game i really liked was OoT 3D

Keep in mind MM came out towards the end of the N64's lifespan and it also required the expansion pack so it's sales (back in those days) were never gonna be as strong as OOT.
I would buy MM on the 3DS, about 5 years ago I caually mentioned to a mate that I had a N64 still and he offered me £200 for it plus my games and I've regretted selling it ever since. In fact give me a remake of Pokemon Snap too as I miss that more than the Zeldas & Starfox 64!

Whilst that is true, it doesn't take away the fact that fewer people have played the game, and thus as a result that fewer people will buy the remake. Of course there will be people buying MM for the first time, but nostalgia too is usually a big factor in remake sales. A game that sold better before has a higher chance of selling better for the second time.
Majora's Mask is my least favorite 3D Zelda and my 3rd least favorite overall, only ahead of the first two games, so I don't give two shakes if it is remade. I do think Nintendo is keeping the door open for a remake but it isn't a done deal like many people think. If people really want the game, they should download it off the Wii's VC.
I don't think it's so much about demand as it is about how easy it would be to do now. The assets and engine from Ocarina of Time can be reused. Nintendo doesn't have to do it either. It can be outsourced to Gezzo again. It would be cheap, take up none of Nintendo's time, and guaranteed to sell a million copies.
So why not?

As the comment I made yesterday on Agitha's reveal, any MM hint points directly to a remake being made according to the ardent fans, but so many hints of TP on Hyrule Warriors do not have the same effect.
And look at the chart that @Octane kindly provided, putting TP as the second highest selling Zelda game ever. So if sales decide what Zelda games are remade, TP's chances are bigger than most.
The thing is that if Nintendo remakes MM I won't buy it, but if they remake TP in HD I will be there day 1.
TP was the worst selling one and it got a remake. However there was also a change in controls which is probably the only reason why, they saw it fit the wii better but it was already too late.
Twilight princess got a remake for the wii, it is completely mirrored to the original gamecube verison (so link's sword and sheild switch for motion control)
Actually both verisons were released the same year.

Not a remake, a port.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
TP wasn't really remade as it released on Wii and GameCube at the same time. In fact, it came out on Wii a couple of weeks before Gamecube in Europe! Spirit Tracks is the worst selling Zelda overall, which kinda disappoints me as I really liked it!
