i hope the 3DS will be able to remeber the passwords you entered in for the wi-fi hotspots you have visited, which will probabily happen. but what is more important to me is that the 3DS will be able to remeber MORE THAN 6 passwords for the wi-fi hotspots that you have visted. i hope the prosses works just like it does on the ipod touch, where it can remeber all the passwords for the wi-fi hotspots you visited, instead of having to delete one everytime you visit a different place (that has wireless fidelitey)

i know its me. i have not talked on these forums for a while. but trust me my english has inproved.

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

Nice ideas man. Nice ideas. Hopefully the 3DS will be able to go on networks that have locks on them, like the ones outside of a real estate business. ;)

You need to give it more time, lol. Don't expect people to reply immediately. xD

Anyways yeah...or have it where the hotspots don't require you to save them in your system settings or whatever. Cause its kinda annoying having to erase a hotspot to enter a new one, and then again when you head to the spot you erased on another day. lol

Come up with a more interesting topic. Most people aren't going to care about needing more than 6 wifi hotspots saved to the DS's memory.

Digitally Downloaded - best darned game site on the web ;-)

Put the word "FREE" and occasionally "Punch and Pie" in the title if its really important, people will be more likely to respond (...negatively).

As for the 3DS remembering multiple WiFi passwords, its definitely a possibility since it won't necessarily be built with the aging legacy DS OS since it is supposed to be its own line. Then again, I don't expect Nintendo to put in too much storage memory, as they appear to finally be encouraging people to get SD cards, so limitations on stored WiFi passwords could definitely be placed on that since its not a "common issue" for people to have, it'd also be more in line with the kid-friendly menu system not to have 40 pages of WiFi passwords.

If you're old enough, you might wanna consider getting a cellphone with the ability to WiFi tether, that appears to be a newer trend, especially with the Android OS. You would be able to connect to online pretty much wherever you go as long as you have a data signal regardless whether there are open/keyed hotspots around. Thats what I use to connect Dragon Quest IX online every day, my new router doesn't have WEP.

TL;DR
"FREE Punch and Pie" will attract attention.
There may be hope Nintendo will have more save-able keys, but don't hold your breath.
Get an Android 2.2+ cellphone or a Palm that allows you to WiFi tether devices to it and you won't need to worry about hotspots as long as you have a signal.

You're welcome.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
