Sorry. I don't buy this, considering they would be LYING if they did that. The press release said EVERYONE who connected before August 12th.
Current games: Everything on Switch

I don't think they'd be able to know that. They don't really know exactly which system was bought from exactly which store for exactly what price at exactly what time for each 3DS system that has been sold. Pretty sure that anyone who registered their system online by the 12th will get the free games, regardless of how much they paid.

No they wouldn't, at first it was about those who got it at full price before the drop.
The only reason of slight concern is the fact that I've changed my region from Australia to the UK and back a few times so I can download games that I can't get here (Shantae: Risky's Revenge FTW) and for cheaper... But I'm sure that shouldn't stop me from being an ambassador.
My fears exactly, I continuosly move from Mexico (real location) to USA (where all downloads are available, and cheaper)

Well gamestop has a way to register your games and 3DS on Club Nintendo directly if you have your club nintendo account connected to their rewards program. So their may be a way, the beast(not a person its a computer) exist after all.

Still... I'd be very surprised if they don't all still get the free games.

I wouldn't be surprised if everybody who got theirs before the 12th, get the game regardless.

Read the press release. Nowhere does it say you had to pay full price for the free games. This is what was promised to gamers, therefore Nintendo should NOT exclude anyone, regardless of how much they paid

Yeah, that's a good point. All they've said is that anyone who purchases a 3DS before the 12th gets them, nothing about price. It wouldn't matter anyway, I don't think they've be able to do much about it even if they wanted to.

They said it before, Wal-Mart and others decided to drop it early. So they meant people who got it at full price before the 12th.......Weird how no one has realized this.

Everyone's going to get the games, 99% sure of it.

They meant it, but that was not announced.
Ironically, Nintendo of America was the only branch that did not announce the full price requirement. It's like they knew that Wal-mart and Target would lower their prices early. Coincidence?
