Might be worth testing it on the link that I posted if you can't find one on your country's website. I'd imagine that it'd still work with UK 3DS's considering they're both PAL... dunno about America but you can always test.

No, it doesn't. I have a PAL 3DS and it didn't work for me.

Alright... So that link is ONLY for Australian 3DS's. Not sure if there's a link for the other regions yet but if anyone finds one please post it so everyone else from that region can check if they're registered.
As far as I'm aware (from any region probably) you'll still be able to register for the ambassador program as long as you have your receipt from when you bought your 3DS. Anyone from Australia can now officially check whether they're registered or not and I'm sure other regions will be able to shortly as well.
Nintendo of America hasn't announced anything about having an extra chance to register for the ambassador program
Yeah, I hope they do, though! My girlfriend bought a 3ds on the 11th and misunderstood the requirements, and registered her system to Club Nintendo, without visiting the eShop lol she isn't very good with technology. I emailed Nintendo about this issue, mentioning how she has a friendcode and a proof of purchase and how the other regions are allowing alternate means of registration. They, of course, still haven't replied. I've found Nintendo to have the slowest Customer Service lol oh well, I'll let you all know their reply once they finally do!

Considering all the other regions are able to give you an extra chance you'd think NoA would be able to as well... Good luck!

He said he'll research more to better answer your question. That's better than being sent to a FAQ you have already read imo.

Yeah I know. Either way, at the moment I'm still no further than where I was a week ago lol
And truuuuue, I could always call them, but I don't particularly like phone calls, as it takes more energy to speak words and converse than it does to think the words in your head and transpose them into an email with a keyboard =P I know, doesn't make much sense at all. I'm on vacation, too, and reception here sucks hahah
