Is anyone getting this odd error on their 3DS that suddenly goes to a black screen reading something along the lines of an error having occurred, please hold down the power button, etc.... ?

I've had it happen twice now, both times while playing Ghost Recon. The first time it happened at the precise moment I touched the touch screen (possibly a coincidence), and the second time it happened seemingly without external cause during a cutscene. It's frustrating and naturally makes me think there is something wrong with the device which I won't know until I play further with this game and others.

If anyone else has had it happen, please post so I and others can know if it's more common or a unique problem with either my device or the Ghost Recon software. thanks

Just had my first encounter with that message not 5 minutes ago while trying out The Sims 3. So you've already had it twice in the short time you've had the system. Wow!

@jsb118 Have you performed a system update? It's supposed to be improve stability.

I have had my 3DS since Friday and have not had this happen to me.
My guess is that it could be the game, try a normal DS game see if it still does it.

Oh no!! I will be PISSED if all/most of the consoles are affected by this! No offense but I really hope this problem is just isolated to PAL systems....

My system is a US system and I had already updated my system and still got the error.

The system it has happened on has had all the appropriate system updates.

And no offence people, but if it hasn't happened to you, please don't bother telling us it hasn't happened, its just more text to filter through.

Oh, dear god, no! Please, I hope Nintendo sends out an update to fix this soon. I don't want my excitement killed by an error message.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Oh boy...I hope this isn't like the Wii errors at launch. This is the last thing I want to hear before picking up the 3DS tonight. Any chance it could just be the game? Maybe something about it caused the error. It could just be something with a few of the launch titles. If not maybe we can get (or there is?) an updated that will fix it soon.

I'm already seeing that its apparently pretty common. No mention yet of it happening with DS games. I'm sure they'll put an update out that addresses it soon.

I heard its only on the blue systems!
And just to be sure, all of you with the errors, what colors are your systems?

EDIT: Ok nevermind...

So could this be fixed through an update? Seems to be a huge problem...

NOOOOOOOoooooo....

How could Nintendo let it out of the door with flaws like that? Great, now i waited so long for disappointment.

Do you guys not get errors on your computers all the time? I'm sure this is easily fixable with a system software update. I've been playing 3DS for over a month and this has happened one time to me.

Yeah but most of the time you were playing on a Japanese one...

Guess I'll find out whether or not I'm one of the unlucky ones when I get my 3DS.
