okay so I found the video recording If anyone is wondering it's in with the camera application the the 3DS comes with.

I have a question. Since the videos are .avi files does that mean I can download a youtube video (less than 10 mins of course) and covert it to an .avi file, and will it work on the 3DS?

that was a surprise, opening up my 3ds to see it had already downloaded the update. sweet.

i noticed in the camera it said you could change the shutter speed of the videos and the photos, but i only see options for the videos. the photo options are the same as before... maybe i misread it?

Well the Nintendo zone thing seems kinda pointless.
I have to take my 3ds to a participating location? It never leaves my house so yeah that's really gonna come in handy. Where might this participating location be?
Am I supposed to roam around a Nintendo store with my 3ds or something?

Is there anyway to delete Nintendo Zone? I hate it. I can't find a way so I'm guessing you can't? This is the only bad thing about the update. Nintendo Zone is pointless IMO' it's just taking up space on my SD card! >:[ I guess the new streetplaza stuff and 3D video is worth it so I can't complain.

Pointless? I used Nintendo Zone at Best Buy for a digital coupon that saved me $40 on Sunday.

Some cool features of the 3DS Video app:

• You can edit your videos the same way as sound files, changing the video speed and sound pitch.
• In the "Edit" section, you can also save individual frames as pictures when you pause the video.

like the changes to the friendlist UI.

Got two OS updates in one day (this and the xbox metro) yay me.

You have to encode it to mjpeg and, I would assume, make sure it's 20fps and 480x240.

I don't hang out at mcdonalds or Best buy much so yeah I don't imagine I'll get any use out of Nintendo zone.
The video recording would be neat if I had a real exciting life worth recording.

I'll just wait until someone post instructions and all that, I'll get used to it eventually like with the pictures.
