Doesn't this Vocaloid garbage have a somewhat substantial following outside Japan now, though?

Its a music based game, like Elite Beat Agents and That one new game that Square Enix is releasing. Why is it crap?..... its cute!

My vocal teacher does find computers that sing, a little absurd but Vocaloid is fun.

The voices are horrible.
Nothing against music games in general (and Theatrhythm looks awesome), but I can't stand this Vocaloid high-pitch ear torture.

Its computer generated singing and its getting more natural, Yoshi's voice is even done by his own Vocaloid.

Talk Box Byron even uses a vocaloid program when he's to sick to sing.

At least we know that Professor Layton, Mask of Miracle will be released outside of Japan.

This is a signature.

Those Super deformed character designs make me want to puke. The only Japanese game I'm looking forward to is Culdcept 3D.

I wouldn't call donald duck or homer simpson realistic looking either, and actually most games out for the thing are japanese, and many great ones to come will be also japanese, pro evo for example is japanese, and so will be tetris. Then there are the more obvious ones like resident evil, mario etc. If you would scratch anything published or developed by nintendo, konami, sega, namco, capcom, square and the many small ones, you would end up with a rather small list with a lot of garbage. If you are uncomfortable with the stuff coming from japan then i fear you picked the wrong system, but then your only choice would be a xbox or a atari 2600.

it would be cool if nintendo ships at least the demo. this way they would see if some games could be valuable to import

They don't publish most of these games. This would be up to the publishers themselves.

Also, I don't like the vocaloids. Computer-generated singing is ridiculous (not a big fan of auto-tune either) and the voices are terrible in my honest opinion.

You also don't like the PS3, therefore your argument is invalid.

What the f*** are you talking about? You're talking to the biggest Japanese gamer here. I just don't like SD designs because they make them look fat and ugly and have rediculously big heads. They're supposed to look cute, but they're anything but cute in my opinion. And they just look awful when they're 3D models, like that Vocaloid game. Ugh, I seriously almost barfed when I saw it. It's not about being Japanese, it's about good art, or the lack thereof in this case.

And you don't have a 3DS. Why are you posting in this category?
