Ive been looking into getting some sort of device to extend the battery life of the 3DS as it really isn't very good, ive found these 2:

http://3ds.nintendolife.com/news/2011/11/review_nyko_power_grip

just wanted to know if anyone has tried any of them or indeed any others they could recommend ?

looking for something like this, too.

the recharchable power case is a cool idea, because you dont need to exchange your 3DS battery and therefore still have your warranty. but it looks too big.

EDIT: just saw the other thing is the same but a lot smaller. hmmm i dont have money for something like this now anyway, but i would prefer the nyko power grip.

As use the Nyko battery pak+. It's not very bulky and it lasts me about 6 hours with the brightness on 3 and the 3D turned all the way up. It is serving me well.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I saw this at Target (I know Amazon.co.uk sells this too) and with the death of Nyko's Shock n Rock, I may end up getting it.

It can apparently charge in the 3DS in the stock cradle, something no other charge case can do...well, as far as I know...and it can hold up to 3 extra 3DS/DS carts...and it doesn't alter the profile of the 3DS too much, but allows for easier holding for those of us with larger hands.

The only negative things I perceive are the Energizer branding on the top of the case and also that it apparently adds a bit of weight to the system (reported to make the whole setup feel as heavy as an Xbox 360 controller).

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

The Nyko battery is perfect for me. It doubles the battery length and gives me extra grip on the bottom of the system.

I also recommend the Nyko battery +; it's only $10, served me well on a 15hr flight (lasted 10 hrs on brightness setting of 2-3, no 3D, wireless off and volume thru headphones) and adds better grip to the system without adding bulk (fits perfectly in the Power A executive case).
