They definitely should give an option to cap framerate, but for me, the player movement being so jerky seemed more annoying. That being said, those really are minor gripes, this game is looking to be absolutely incredible.
@KIRO thanks for the input! Yeah, reading some testimonials from other members here as well definitely has me thinking about it more! Now, as long as they don't drop a new switch lite with an OLED next year...
Probably will wait until launch to see. If the OLED screen is absolutely stunning despite decreased pixel density, it might sway me, but honestly thinking about just getting a Lite instead..
@bimmy-lee Definitely spring for it! I had it years ago, but didn't get a chance to play much then, so I also just picked it up on the sale, and have been having an incredible time.
If you've played any of the Shantae games, it's along those lines for backtracking requirement, which is to say not too much. Mostly for side quests and collectibles. It gives me the same sense of enjoyment I got when I played through Steamworld Dig 2!
Seems like they are taking their time with localizations everywhere. I live in Korea and usually the versions with Korean support come out date and day with the Japanese release, but even here the release is slated for September, and that's most likely without any additional voice-over work.
@SwitchVogel I definitely bought Trio of Towns after reading your review awhile back. Do you feel that this new one really eclipses ToT in terms of overall package?
Definitely don't want to join the bashing train, as I, and as I can assume most of you good people, are all fans of the franchise!
I just remember how awesome the 3DS SoS games were for their time, and with the fresh direction that the Doraemon spinoff took, it seemed that this new one would be a slam dunk. I think that there is a collective feeling of letdown, even though I am sure the game provides a good amount of fun and is not inherently trash like many opinions swilling about seem to suggest.
I will definitely pick up down the line to support, but I just hope that the developers take all the criticism floating around constructively and not to heart and end up nixing the franchise!
All of the usual requests would of course be cherished (Brewster, better multiplayer experience), but what I really wish is that they would add some new unique villager dialogues when they update the game. As it stands now, most villagers of a certain type will all share the same dialogue points....I seem to remember that in NL every villager really felt like their own special character.
All fantastic choices. I was actually hoping to nab Alliance Alive for 3DS recently, but was bummed to see it had been removed from the eShop . Plenty others to get though!
Oh baby baby I had all but given up hope on this one. Day one for me, let's go! Crossing fingers for that good netcode and crossplay, although probably wishful thinking.
It's been a blast! The official licensing I can live without. However, the lack of any commentary or replays is a bit of a letdown. Maybe for the next iteration. Despite that, highly recommended!
I would have thought that with Nintendo's creativity, they could still pull off some Direct magic even during these times. Surprise announcements can be great too, but I hope that Nintendo doesn't completely toss out the idea of Directs...
Unless there is some use for it later down the line, I'd love to have the option to map the tool wheel to L, as then your thumb would stay on the stick, and would feel a lot snappier.
What pretty much everyone else has said. Also, maybe silhouettes for when you are deep in trees / behind a building?

Re: Surprise! Nintendo Announces New Paid DLC For Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise
Why Little Mac and/or Doc weren't involved in this game in some way will never fail to make me sad.

Re: Tetris 99 Hits The Fairway With A Brand New Mario Golf: Super Rush Theme
It's awesome how there are Mario Golf tournaments in Tetris 99 but no tournaments in Super Rush...

Re: Square Enix Confirms The Next Mana Game For Console Is Now In Development
I know they will keep it 3D like Trials, but somehow a brand new Mana game with HD-2D would be just... incredible.

Like @MisterWhen mentioned before, Dust: An Elysian Tale is also absolutely worth your time. I believe it's on sale atm as well!

Super Mega Baseball 3 most definitely!
