@link3710 What kinda gameplay does the game offer? Is it mostly platforming-type exploration or more just "discovering the world"? I'm thinking of something like B-K vs. SMG. I know you said collectathon but I think I heard this game is more platforming-focused than a lot of collectathons.

Thanks guys! I'm glad it is not terribly scary. I like thrillers but not horror-type games so it sounds like I could enjoy it.

How scary is the game, and how explicit is the content? The trailer terrified me!

Thomas, what controller did you use? I used the Wiimote sans motion controls, and apart from some issues with grappling, I haven't had any real issue with the controls.

Edit: I see you used analog controls. I wonder how much easier you would've found the controls if you used the Wiimote d-pad. Also, as it stands it does kind of sound like in the review that you're forced to use analog controls; this is true if you use the GamePad but not if you use the Wiimote.

Double edit: I finished the review and I see you did mention alternative control schemes. I really wish you would've given it a shot with the Wiimote. I wonder if you might've enjoyed it much more that way. The grappling and general movement work pretty well that way (I'd imagine much better than with the analog stick).

@ThomasBW84, can I ask for where you'd heard they will be probably less than $10 apiece? I thought I had read somewhere they looked to be $15+ each? Thanks!

@ThomasBW84, assuming you (or another NLifer) already have the game for review purposes, I'm hoping you can answer a question for me. I've been really looking forward to it but when I saw the alternate character teaser trailer I saw that the female character is...kind of drawn in a cheesecake pin-up style and that's not really my kind of thing. It's one thing if that's concept art but if that's in the actual game in some capacity I'd really like to know going in (maybe that or some similar content is the reason for the T rating?). It's just not the kind of game I like to play. Thanks for the help, Thomas!

The end of the video was in really poor taste and not funny at all.

Easily my most anticipated game for Wii U and the main reason I am planning to purchase a Wii U. My wife and I are one level away from 100% completion of Rayman Origins (we trade off levels) and plan to have it completed by the time this comes out. If this game is just as good as that one, it will be one of the best ever. If it's better, well, that will be incredible.
