Sadly the promotion about this console is an attempt to maintain market share with an aging platform. I love playing BOTW and TOTK yet would be by far more sophisticated and enjoyable in different high processor and greater resolution platform. In price comparison PlayStation and Xbox are superior platforms. Manufactures best profits have been from game subscriptions and/or game passes. These once popular options have begun to dwindle in light of the “Do Not Own” philosophy restricting consumer rights in ownership to a continuing monthly/yearly payment system.

Basically, compared to the two other major competitor gaming consoles there's no justification for the pricing on this new console.

Better yet it would be advantageous for Nintendo to offer a DLC Expansion Pack option to promote Tears of the Kingdom.
