Yes, an all in one nintendo app with the icon being yoshi or marios face. Or maybe a widget that you can customize yourself and that gives you all the latest news, reviews, trailers, info on wii u and 3ds without having to search on youtube or nintendos official site. Millions of smartphones and tablets with a nintendo app is a good thing.

My stupid opinion chart:

Wii u...survived(?)....I think so.

3ds...profit
License and merchandising...profit
War chest reserves...profit
Wii u...revenue loss....3 out of 4 isn't bad.

Steambox...going after hardcore adults
Wii u...going after anyone/everyone. There will be a market for them.

My crazy opinion/verdict- nintendo = not doomed.
(This was meant for mr pachter and ifans who routinely suggest nintendo give up consoles and portables and be 3rd party to apple)

Didn't I read on here that there was a huge debate among the nintendolife staff concerning this game or remake? Or did I imagine that? Might be interesting to get a transcript or maybe have an article of who took what side.

tetris 64, battle tanx and snowboard kids were really fun. never was able to get a hold of gauntlet legends and rage wars though. I will add top gear overdrive and bio-freaks as personal picks for fun/overlooked multiplayer games.

Wii u isn't going to get many racing sims the way 3rd party support is going, and we know nintendo isn't going to make a racing sim, so this will be a definite purchase for me. I just need one great racing sim to tide me over for the consoles lifespan and this could be the one. Although that 90s arcade racer eshop title looks fun too. Both day one purchases.

pfft, hello? spoiler alert! I was hoping to find that out for myself in story mode.

I survived last gen with a wii60 or 360wii combo. This generation i might try a wii u/ps4 combo. Now all we need is to hear from "steambox". Wii u for nintendo exclusives and the eshop and one of the "come at me bro" consoles is good enough for me.

Your idea that nintendo should go third party in regards to home consoles would make sense IF they were still struggling after a few years and all their heavy hitters were out already. But it has only been a matter of months, and we have yet to see the big 5:

Mario kart
Smash brothers
Dedicated zelda game
Dedicated mario game
Dedicated pokemon game

After those 5 system-selling/multi-million copy type games are out(along with others like animal crossing, metroid, donkey kong, pikmin, etc), if the wii u is still struggling then yeah it would be time to consider that option. But lets wait and see what happens till then.

would love to see old-school strategy games like MASTER OF MONSTERS or GEMFIRE on there.
