@slaine Same. My Switch 2 hasn't been touched since the week it released. Mainly bought it due to FOMO...and Metroid Prime 4 that still has no release date smh.

...And, Square Enix just ruled out my purchase of the game for Switch or Switch 2. Game key card = dealbreaker. PS5, it is.

Speculation: While this heavy-handed behavior is likely Nintendo's response to the rampant Switch piracy, it theoretically could open the door for hackers and modders. Short of fully disabling the console, how can Nintendo further penalize an already banned console? If anything, this might stoke the flames of determination to defeat the system security.

Not interested in this one, especially at that price. Metroid Prime 4 is what I'm really waiting to play, if it ever comes out.

@MrGawain Correct. Unfortunately, they will probably go digital only as a kick in the teeth to those who want physical.

I'm not thanking Nintendo for game key cards. Publishers won't be thanking my wallet, either. Hard pass on any title that is released on this format and not a proper physical cart.

How about a Metroid release date and price announcement for the upgrade pack?

GAME used to even ship to the US just over a decade ago. They've changed significantly.

I'd bet that the trailer shows it running on S2. The graphics and animation were too smooth and detailed for the Switch
1 to handle.

I always preferred Lou Albino's voice over all others. It IS sad to see a 25+ year veteran retire, though.

Before I owned a NES, I played the sit-down coin-op version of the original. Getting to play without a quarter was its own novelty, as were experiencing SMB2 & 3 as new releases. SMW did the same thing for me on SNES. I loved getting to play All-Stars for the upgraded graphics and The Lost Levels. But, my fondest memories are experiencing the games on their native consoles (except TLL, of course).

@MeloMan 2 needs a rebalance of its unmercifully high enemy encounter rate.
