Re: Iwata: WiiWare Demos Are Coming

invmat

They could include this option in the Nintendo channel, I mean DS demos are already there...
And is it possible to make a message service? In that way, you can get a message when a new demo is available..

Re: Competitions Nudge

invmat

@pHaT-aNt_ : Stupid me, and thank you for being so kind to decide who wins before the competition has ended

Re: Competitions Nudge

invmat

This reduces my chances to win, either way good luck to everyone.
@ King Elemento: I thought you could only win goodies and not the game...

BTW: Because we're so nice we've extended two of the competitions , it should be three. EDIT: was not true, see post 10

Re: Japan to Receive Widescreen DSi

invmat

Well, I hate the original DSi. But this one needs a serious consideration.
If there's no news of a real DS successor by the time this is released in Europe, I'm going to buy this. Besides, my DSLite is a little bit broken, I can still play games.

Re: Free NES Game Offer Now Available!

invmat

Yesterday, I created a topic in the news section because it was offline.
I also mentioned the free NES game and the 500 point promotion, and now it's all true .
I have downloaded SMB3, I need some practice before starting with NSMBWii.

Re: System Update 4.2 Bricking Wiis Left, Right and Centre

invmat

You know, when I saw the changelog I couldn't believe my eyes....
Ninty was actually updating the most important part of the Wii.
And this is no suprise for me.

@ AllthepeoplewhothinkthatNintycansolvethisproblem: Unless they take the update offline immediately, more Wii's will brick. The update itself is no problem, but the odds of failure are.

When Nintendo launched an update, there were always people who turned off their Wii or the update didn't work. That was mostly no problem, but this update is.

This will also be the last and only update for the Wii that bricks so many Wii's. Please believe this and don't ask why because it's a very long story...

Re: Wii System Update 4.2 Hits US

invmat

@ SanderEvers : "It's even illegal that Nintendo removes these programs from your Wii. Since you own the Wii, and not them."
Not 100% true. When you want to use the Wii Shop Channel or use WiiConnect24, you'll have to accept Ninty's agreement. And when you accept it, you give them the right to remove those files...

Re: Wii System Update 4.2 Hits US

invmat

I did a little research and it is true, Nintendo system updates almost never have anything good for the user. And 'improve overall system performance' ?!?! No, absolutely not. If they want to do that, then just start by removing that harmful SD-cardmenu.
But I'm happy that I live in Europe

Re: Nintendo Channel Gets An Update in North America

invmat

@Roopa 132, I changed my country settings to United Kingdom to access the UK Nintendo Channel.
Another reason for me to do this were games which had a Dutch language option, I can't see/play/like/enjoy games when they're in Dutch.
But this option comes with one problem: if you change the language, you mess up your whole WiiConnect 24 settings, so it's your choice.

Re: Magnetis

The EU Nintendo Channel says its out now (3 aug!!) , but it is not in the Shop Channel.
Mistake?

Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii

invmat

I'm also going to buy it.
And I heard there will be something called Demo-play for rookie gamers, it allows you to skip hard parts of the game.

Re: DSi Firmware 1.4 Defeated Already?

invmat

If they make another R4i without the ability to update the boot flash, Nintendo can block it again. But if you can update the boot flash, there's always a way to get it work again no matter what (software)updates Nintendo brings out.
