Re: Interview: Splatoon Producer Hisashi Nogami on Claiming New Territory for Wii U

I love this game.
I've been playing it hours this week-end, and will do it again next week-end.
My two sons (5 and 10) love it too.
The Wii U really needed this refreshing experience. The use of the GamePad is well thought, the graphics are colorful, the animation is fluid, the online works great.
And the game was only 30€ at launch.
What more could I ask ?

Thank you Nintendo for this great addition to the Wii U !

@Kifa You wrote that Minecraft was working on "every device around", so Wii U and 3DS are not devices ?

Here are some reasons why a Minecraft edition for Nintendo consoles (or a Minecraft clone if MS/Mohjang doesn't want to come to Nintendo) :

  • some people do not own multiple devices
  • some people's second device besides their console is just a smartphone. Some people do not like the inferior version of Minecraft available on mobile phones and want a better gaming experience.
  • some people prefer to play videogames on consoles rather than PC, for various reasons. My kid for instance has played about 30 minutes of Minecraft on PC, and about 50 hours on Xbox 360. He prefers the game that way. More immediate, different gameplay, split screen multiplayer with his friends and little brother...
  • while I'm using my computer to write comments here on Nintendolife, this computer is not available for anyone at my home to play Minecraft. The Wii U is available. The 3DS is available.

If 250000 people downloaded the demo version of Cube Creator 3D, don't you think it proves there's a real demand for a 3DS version of Minecraft ? Because you don't need it doesn't mean that other people won't be happy that it comes.
